Quite probably the end of our season. Shocking performance and this tie should be dead and buried. Basel deserved to win by three.

Looks like Bale is in a bad way. The foot bent round. Looked very painful.

that really didn't look good. and i don't think he was making a meal of it. poor guy. not going to jump on the doom and gloom bandwagon just yet. if he's out, he's out. we'll just have to deal.

Bale injury is a real killer. But tonight we were outplayed and lucky to get a draw. The problem is that when the defence has the type of poor performance ours had in the first half then even when a change is made confidence is low and our opponents confidence is sky high.
Some very poor individual performances tonight, too many to list. In fact there were not very many good performances.
Now we face Everton on Sunday without Lennon, Bale and Defoe. Not good.

Great stuff. Defence = atrocious, Midfield = (bar 10 min spell) completely dominated, attack = anonymous.

AVB didn't cover himself in glory either, that last sub is possibly one of the worst I have ever seen in a football match. Mind boggling.

Injuries to arguably our two key players as well, because we have literally no one to replace them. Fuck it, time for drastic measures, get some of the youths in on the wing, give them fuck all tactical instructions and just let them run with the ball. See what comes off.

Will be lucky if we see Bale before the start of next season. That looks like a break to me

Na, I remember the horrendous Charlie Adam tackle and thinking Bale was dead. This will be ligaments and will keep him out till the summer.

This could be our line up Sunday

Adebayor
Dempsey Holtby Sigurdson
Dembele Parker
BAE Verts Daws Walker
Lloris

I think we can overcome Everton but City and Chelsea without Bale?

----

I agree he sometimes makes a meal of challenges but I have no knowledge of injuries and could tell that looked awful

Slowest frontline ever. No penetration at all. I know it won't happen but I would be looking at some of our under 21 players to freshen it up

Big mistake sending Rose and Townsend out on loan. The pace and width they would have given us would have been invaluable today, could have rested some players as well

Might be the only thing that keeps him at ours in a weird way.

Tonight must have shown him we can't give him the platform to perform on. So poor.

Champions League qualification goes down the swanny with him out. It was going to be a struggle with him fully fit

We are the most cursed club on the planet, DL needs to call in a fucking priest to perform an exorcism!

If we are not cursed by dodgy lasagne's we are cursed by Chelsea fluking the CL final and now we are cursed by Bale getting seriously injured

Oh give it a rest mystic fucking meg
He's right though, welshie. And people can't have it both ways and slate people for saying it before the fact and then telling them to fuck off/shut up when it does all go xxxx shaped and they come back and say "see".

Oh and...see.

What's so frustrated is that the game was over and he had no need to make that challenge.

Just hope Lennon was a niggle and he's back within a week or two. Defensively we should be Ok but without Bale, we'll need Sigs or someone to really step up. Maybe the Ade goal perks him up a bit but it didn't seem to do his confidence the power of good for the rest of this match.

Basically, fuck.

When have I said that? I would want us to do well and give it our all in the CL, always said that. I don't care about the UEFA cup, there's no incentive to winning it.

There's no incentive to win? It's a trophy. I would love to go to a cup final in Amsterdam. Qualifying for the champions league every season isn't the be all and end all of football, just ask Arsenal fans.
