Does anyone know what happened in Park Lane upper during the match? A few people were chanting someone else in thre crowd a few rows up.

You mean the big geeza getting chucked out?He was off his nut!

Must be something like that. It was interesting as there were a few people in the first few rows of Park Lane upper with their back to the football.

What did he do?

Yeah there was a bloke right at the front of the PL Upper, who was slightly inebriated and he was singing to the Bolton fans most of the game with his back turned to the pitch. The big fella got chucked out for threatening behaviour or D&D. I was chatting to him at half time in the bar and he was definitely on the old peruvian marching powder. Funny geezer though. Overall was a highly amusing night and can't wait for the Mickeys on Sunday now. COYS!

SSN said this morning that Defoe did pick up an injury last night.

I thought Eidur was impressive and hope he gets more playing time. His goal was definitely offside but I'm sure it won't be long before he's on the score sheet.

I only got to my seat seconds before kick off. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw BAE at RB. I didn't even know he was fit let alone able to play RB. Did well I thought.

Given how well Bale is playing it might be worth playing BAE at RB more... would be great to have to fullbacks/wingbacks like that.

Me too. Difficult task to work out what 'Arry had done.

Bolton were bloody awful though. After the 9-1 massacre against Wigan this Bolton team were probably the worst we've played this season. They should of just forfiet if they we going to show up and not try.

Yeah, it was a poor show, really. Coyle really mustn't have cared about this if he was neither gonna start with Kevin Davies, or bring him on when they were behind - I wouldn't exactly say I feared KD, but he is, well, disquieting, ain't he:shrug:

Couldnt see it that well from the Park Lane upper but Eidur didnt look offside. That fat Bolton fan was hilarious though.COYS!

It looked very marginal to me, too.

See above. Really quoting earlyier post, Cos, but can't be bothered goin' back to find it. RE: Bale and Pav. - wouldn't it be fun to delve into the archives to name-and-shame the SCers who were slating them last season and the start of this:grin:

I do kind of fear him, I hate that sort of player but there's no doubt he's hugely effective and exactly the type that causes panic in our defence time and again.

What I liked last night was Modric and Pavlyuchenko's link up play, it was Modric that set up Pav's 1st goal, he also tried this against Wigan, there were a couple of good setups from Pav for Modric last night aswell, now this could work realy well given time, with Modric coming inside and linking up with him.

Fully agree. It was refreshing and clear to see how much more effective Modric has been with someone like Pav ahead of him and the ball played much more through the middle rather than the "hit and hope" long balls from the back to Crouchie.

Just need Defoe to link up better with these two, and with Lennon hopefully coming back soon we should have a bright, fluid attacking team capable of getting good results with classy performances, while the shield with dynamo (Palacios) provides the vital hard centre - the successful Spurs way?

Waiting for Stoof and the gang to say something like "yeah, so Pav scored again, but still didn't run around as much as Crouchie and still looked lazy at times, don't get what all the fuss is about this SuperPav fella, when is this Pavlyuchenko-wankathon" going to end" etc etc etc?

Oh just switch hands would you, you're getting awfully boring.

I have a problem with the ridiculous (hilarious) level of support he gets in comparison to other players who do/have done/will do a fuckload more than he'll ever do. I don't have a problem with Pavlyuchenko playing well. I just want him to do it more and often! (As I've seen the Pavlyuchenko that plays well a couple in a dozen before, so I just don't want others to get carried away).

Do you not find it ridiculous that we sang more about Pavlyuchenko last night than we did about "Tottenham"? The Team? No.

Do we mention opposition? No. Bolton somehow managed a better "not wanting to be there" impression than Fulham did a couple of weeks ago. And this was when it was 0-0! Hehehe.

Pav did well. talkshow and jimbo said it best: he's like a homeless dog; he's there for the added sympathy vote.

Spoken like a true Tory! Crush the weak! It's all their own fault...Support for players must be rationalized according to their performances. Why should one 'individual' recieve more song than the Tottenham/Borg collective ? This British sentimentality for the underdog parasitizes real ubermenschen.

Plus Robbie Keane would have scored about 23 goals in 110 minutes against Wigan and Bolton. Right?

What? Tory? What?

Aside from that rather odd comment, I just don't understand the adulation. I would love it if someone offered me an explanation. The guy who slates the club, slates the manager gets all the love. Is it not the classic "Battered Fan" syndrome? "Oh love us, please Pav. Please! We're sorry Pav. We deserved that slap. It was our fault". No?

25 in 98 mate. Get it right.

Ah steve, I'm not bitter. I'm just a poor confused yiddo, wondering why he gets it in place of others; when he's been quite anti-Spurs?

I mean, Bentley's played as much as him - arguably contributed a similar amount. I just want to understand the mentality. That, and spurs_viola gets on my tits.

The thing that stood out to me about last night was Gudjohnsen and how his link play, movement and guile on and off the ball was something we have been desperately missing recently - very encouraging to see.

Bale again was my MOTM, I said a few months back that there were few full backs of BAE's calibre around, it seems that we had one of those few sitting on the bench behind him. Not quite sure why I'm so surprised, it was evident that Bale had immense talent but I guess it's the way he has really harnessed that talent by improving himself mentally and physically that has been the real factor in his off the chart improvement. Well done boyo.

Another good night for Pav, and if he can maintain this hungry attitude then I'm happy to see him in the team. Movement wise, he is the best out of our forwards (that aren't away on loan), he has a good touch and is a pretty clinical finisher with an eye for scoring important goals. I just hope he can keep up a good attitude because I don't think he helps himself sometimes, because when his head is in the right place he can be a good player for us.
