I didn't realise smack-talking the oppo was still so popular! I remember seeing it happen back in the 80's and early 90's, with Wimbledon and Millwall being prime culprits as windup merchants but i've not seen that in top flight football for ages.

Seriously!??!!? Eek

What top flight football have you been watching?!

Yea selfish Bale wanting to score after doing so against two of the best teams in the league:duh:. It's called confidence. He has the skill and brought two good saves from the keeper but did put crosses in for the strikers, one which no one gambled on, one which Knight beat Pav to and one which Pav almost got.

It was not many times, he shot from a tight angle rather than cross, it was about once and it wasn't a tight angle just not a sufficienlty powerful or placed shot and a very very good save. But if you want to heap blame on one of our best players to explain Pav's bad patch, go ahead. Whether he has better movement than Defoe is moot, they are pretty equal to be fair.

You are just guessing he has become selfish and believed the hype, it was the same odd theory some people used vis. Lennon when he was on form. They have the confidence to try long shots and audacious tricks. I would prefer they do that then retreat to their shell as they have both done at times.

And EG's miss was bad, very casual- but no worse than Pav's against Chelsea which was one of a fair few he should have put away.

I can't imagine your outcry when Bale scored against Chelsea, the selfish prick.

There's no need for that Coyboy.
I only agree with it partially, and it doesn't in anyway takeaway from Bale's form, but I have, myself, noticed Bale working himself into great positions and having Pav. for instance) unmarked, and making the wrong option in not passing. The strikers still should have scored form the many opportunites they have had - but SpursViola says this himself. And Bale is young and learning, and no player ever, ever, plays the perfect game (it don't exist), so it is a bit harsh calling him a 'selfish prick' - just for pointing it out.

Some people are so dumb they seem unable to access a players contributions and mistakes in a game.
All this Bale is great and has no fault and Pav is shit and contributes nothing is so childish and idiotic.
We are having a great season and all the players have played a part in that. If you cannot give the whole team support and allow others to discuss their views on players rationally, get lost.

I counted one or two where he could have passed it back. And the clear one where he didn't owed a great deal to JJ's save; and it was not by any stretch of creative geometry a tight angle.
