Poch has tried Son at LWB twice, and both times it bombed very badly. Surely if we can see how poor we play with Son there then the gaffer himself would be able to see it too?? Surely he wont be daft enough to play Son there again? Son needs to be free and not be tied down to the left. It just won't work.

Surely having TOB or Edwards on the bench is preferable to putting 3 defenders on the bench? Its just useless having 3 defenders on the bench, IMO

Might be a bit of a struggle for TOB to be on the bench today, but I agree with you in having someone like Edwards on the bench instead of one of the three defenders.

This 'doing the same thing again and again - that doesn't work - to prove it does works' is, clearly, poch's big flaw.

The margins in the game are so tight already, you simply cannot willingly present vulnerabilities to your opponents.

I know it's b'mouth, but I still wouldn't get cocky and take libs.

And, quite frankly, it's just a bad fucking habit he needs to get rid of, not culture further.

Surely, this Son at LWB experiment is over. It's logical to squeeze an extra attacker in when we struggle to score goals at Wembley, but not everything that's logical is right, especially when you play the attacker in defence! Hopefully a 4-2-3-1 as you suggest.
