New signing Davinson Sanchez is on the bench for the first time, as is 17-year-old Academy central midfielder Tashan Oakley-Boothe, who featured for the first team in pre-season. Mousa Dembele makes his 200th Spurs appearance in all competitions.
Mauricio: “Yesterday Wanyama got a minor problem with his knee and is not available for today. We’ll assess him in the next few days. We hope it’s not a big issue. Davinson received his work permit and is available to be on the bench. It’s too soon for him to play (start) but to be on the bench is important.”

What's to say... They'll be committed and give 110% not making it easy for us, but I fucking well hope we win this.

From this match looking forward to

a) Kane's 1st goal of the season

b) A rejuvenated and fitter Wanyama

c) Better distribution from Lloris

d) A late appearance from Sanchez in the last 20 to 30 mins

e) All 3 points and burying this so called Wembley jinx once and for all

Drop Kane. If he can't be assed to score in august then he shouldn't play. Put Janssen upfront

I see they have signed chris wood the kiwi striker from leeds. He can be a bit of a handful in the old school type of physical way.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this is on a Sunday when it's not televised due to Liverpool v arsenal? I would have gone if it was on yesterday but due to work I have to miss the match now

More suited for Toby then.

The only other mediocre side we've played at the new Wembley in a properly competitive fixture is Gent, and that ended as a score draw. They are probably a similar standard to Burnley.
Might be a pointless comparison but anyone who thinks we are going to roll them over is kidding themselves. I expect a very tough and close match with us hopefully falling over the line to win it narrowly.

I'm in London with the wife today, hoping to get a couple of last minute tickets.

I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem. It was on general sale. Also a word of warning if you weren't aware, there will be lots of people in London today for Notting hill carnival and a lot of the tube stations around that area are entry/exit only at certain times. Just if the Mrs is dragging you shopping around that area
