Whatever happens in this half, we have been entertained and given hope.

Townsend has played pretty well in a side that have deservedly finished the half leading the league leaders by a 2 goal margin. But you wouldn't think it according to SC.

I don't think Townsend or Rose had great halves to be honest. And scoring, especially from a penalty, doesn't change that.

Offensively Townsend gets involved but the wait for something intelligent or precise and productive goes on. Rose gave away a goal with some poor defending and gave the ball away needlessly as well a couple of times which caused them to break on us. He did improve a bit, put in a great tackle on Ivanovic and did very well for the goal though.
