People talking about the league or top 3. Lol. Said it over the summer. This is going to be a loooooooong season

This isn't even going to be our hardest game at home, Chelsea were all over the place before the game, every team that comes to Wembley are going to be really up for it, even more so than that Chelsea side today.

Just makes me laugh that people think we have a chance at winning it given our form at Wembley and the fact we can't even beat that Chelsea team, we played better against them last season at home and that was with their best 11 out on the pitch.

We went the entire season unbeaten at home last season, we have lost our first game at home this season, as long as we are at Wembley we will not win a damn thing (in terms of trophies) without a miracle, willing to bet my life on that.

You can say that it was undeserved and to a point it was. We played decent football - not overly threatening - but enough to come away with a point.

However we threw the FA Cup S/F in exactly the same fashion. It's infuriating how often the pattern against Chelsea is the exact same.

We miss Walker and Roses pace massively. It's ok without one of them, without both we just aren't the same team attacking wise.
Sad, hating them both, I have to agree... Current set up is good, but not against the top team TBH.. Moses and Alonso tenacity are miles over Davies and Trips..

I know this hurts, but we didn't play that bad. We'll turnover 75% of teams here, just didn't have the luck today.

Still can't believe that utter **** got the winner though, heart wrenching.
Agreed we would of beat most teams today at times in the game Chelsea couldn't handle us we were not that bad it's just losing to those fucking arseholes in the last few after finally getting back to parity it just.fucks us all off

we dominated, hit the post, created umpteen chances, 16 odd corners, we shouldve won end of. 2 goals from a guy who might score 1 more this season.

We only dominated possession becuase they let us. We didn't do enough to win against this poor Chelsea side. We had more shots, but in the end they some really good chances.

I only watched the second half, but for me we didn't create a lot of chances in that half. We had lots of possession but Courtois didn't have much to do in truth. Chelsea looked dangerous on the break and we didn't have much of an answer to their defensive tactics.

Knee jerk city. We dominated the majority of the game. Yes it's upsetting to lose to those tools but I'm not worried. We played 100% better than we did In any Chapions League game and against the Champions. 1 free kick and a lapse in concentration from Lloris and Wanyama. We will come back stronger.

Talking out of your arse
Nope. He was far from the only problem today. But that was a ludicrous double error for the goal, and it's not the first time. He can make any number of great saves this season, but it will take a LOT to make up for getting us off to a bad start at Wembley and losing a home six pointer to a title rival and, even more importantly, a bunch of scumbags.

Gutted but certainly not discouraged. There wasn't much wrong with that last 60 minutes perdormancy. Yes, they had the better of the opening period but we certainly did not deserve to get beaten today. I think Spurs will take the frustration out on Burnley next weekend.

Its not pitch size. Its just the stadium.
It's the same old story year after year. Multiple chances created none taken. Possession stats are massive in our favour don't mean shit , corners 15/3 in our favour lost again. They had two shots on target and get the three points. Our side have not got the killer instinct against teams like Chelsea. I'm sorry but loris last season and now once again massive errors costing us points. That was fucking shocking goalkeeping I'm sorry. I know it's only the second game in but Wembley and not strengthening in the right areas is going to cost us big time. They just do not learn FFS professional footballers man I can take fucking corners better than Eriksen got to beat the first man. To say I'm gutted is an understatement lads/ lasses. COYS

Certainly had the opportunity to walk out of that with points, need to be smarter and less wasteful moving forward.

Big Vic off form all day.

Davies with some sloppy play.

We were very static up front. Sonny came in and started making the runs to stretch the CFC back line. Needed that earlier and more often from other players.

Not sure what purpose the Sissoko sub was meant to have.

Would have liked to have seen Son on quicker and Winks in the midfield as Vic and Dier don't give us the attacking initiative that we need in the middle of the pitch.

Can we practice taking corners please?

Chelsea did the exact same thing that they did against us in the semi final last season. Let us do the running, we had 60-odd percent possession, umpteen chances to score or create... And they simply waited, stayed strong, and mugged us.

We were very good actually, but we need to be smarter and settle into this pitch asap.

I third this. Today's game was very Champion Leagueesqu from last season.

We need to keep perspective, we bossed that game like we did the cup semi final but individual errors keep costing us (unfortunately Hugo does have a habit of making errors in big games and it is always dangerous to give away soft free kicks in that area when teams have that quality).

Biggest issue for me is not Wanyama, but our inability to open up the very top teams. We really need that "next level" signing that came do something out of nowhere, like a Mane or Hazard. I don't think that is Barkley or Sessegnon (not that I wouldn't take them) but it is what we need, preferably with PACE!
