To be fair I think we have actually done ok since their goal. I think Ade needs to come on and probably Townsend.

Yep, it's not all doom and gloom. We'll improve in the second half when Adebayor comes on too so I think there's plenty to be positive about.

I definitely feel that we can get a goal back and it's far to early to write off Sig and Dempsey as bad signings. They both showed better play towards the end of the second half. For all Chelsea's good play they haven't had that many shots on goal and we're only one down. We should give it another 15-20 minutes before changing anything.

Rather have Dempsey off than Sig. Sig was woeful for the first 35 mins but looked better in the last 10 and can put a cross in. Dempsey has been slow and poor all half.

Adebayor must come on to start the 2nd half.

I don't care who he replaces besides Lennon, everyone else has been pretty shit.

Defoe is feeding off scraps to be fair to him. I would get Townsend on for Siggurdson. We need some more pace to disrupt their back 4, Dempsey and Siggurdson are too similar.

All things considered, one nil down, while playing like &$)@ and missing our two best players and not firing on all cylinders is not a bad place to be. It can only get better with the introduction of Townsend and Ade...

I'd like to see Ade on for Defoe. Give Sig a chance to play with someone he can make runs off etc, but it'll probably be the usual Ade for Sig.

I think we can nick a goal or poss 2, Chelsea bar cole are very poor defensively, If we bring ade on then I think we can take this to them.

Funny reading the comments you would think that most of the players are standing on the spot dribbling. Gallas has played poorly, that header is indefensible. Dempsey has had a poor half particuarly his decision making on passing. You could argue that Brad could have saved it, he was unsighted and it was a total bullet.....having said that Hugo should have started. Being so static on crosses is driving me mad.

Hudd has not been bad considering lack of match fitness he has chased back a lot and been quite effective at it. Defoe has been ok, worked hard done a lot of chasing....probably could do with Ade up there with him.

Might be just me, but I do not understand why Gallas is still on the pitch. he has made so many mistakes (and not just in this game) Dawson is a much stronger defense and not as many mistakes. Switch em out, gallas off, dawson on!!!

So far its what I expected. I think we all know we are heavily reliant on two or three players and with them missing we just cant do anything purposeful with the ball.

Sigurdsson and Dempsey have been very very poor, they get the ball and look clueless going round in circles. They work quite hard but that doesnt save them. I dont know who to take off, maybe both? Could Townsend and Falque do any worse if we stuck them on? Must do better if they remain on the pitch.

This is just not the type of game where you start Defoe over Adebayor, especially with other key men not available. Retention of the ball is crucial.

Lennon looks really fucking dangerous today, seems confident is running and beating men for fun, but has only touched the ball about five times in the whole match so far. Thats typical, he's on his game for once and yet doesnt see the ball. Need to get it out to him a lot more.

Chelsea have been pretty comfortable but dont look that good, they havent threatened a huge amount. We really do need to find another gear or three if we want to get anything out of this match though.

I think Andros will be on by 60. We need someone fearless to inject a bit of life I to our attacks. Lennon's been good, but we've had nothing elsewhere
