Not enough movement from the players, everyones just stuck in their position and were playing too deep

cant say impressed by any of them after 45 mins to be perfectly honest, they all look shit

Have you been watching properly? Townsend and Carroll both good, and Fredericks actually looking to go past his man. Kane not been bad but shag all service for him.

Perry sure I didn't use rhe words massive liability anywhere in my previous post.

Oh really? Wow you don't say...

That's just the impression I got from reading your post, I don't see why you'd be worried about the game on Sunday with a completely different set of players just based on how Dawson has been in 45 minutes tonight and despite how he may have played against United.

Good half for some of the new lads.

I'd hoped that Hudd and Dawson would have been more commanding as senior players - not tight enough in the middle of the park which is causing dawson to step out.

Would like to see Fredricks cut inside a little more.

Oh and for Pav to show he's worth anything near the £13m odd that we paid for him but I wont hold out for that.

It's a bit like a kickabout game for the youngsters which is disappointing. Yes, there are some talented individuals out there but there's no cohesion in the team.

Commentator said Hearts are playing better and it's true they've had the best chance of the first half but we're making them look better than they are.

I hope the second half will be a real improvement.

The youngsters have all done well, but I'd have preferred to see them introduced at different stages. Out of the three debutants, Carroll has been very impressive. Kane and Fredericks have had their moments, but are finding it tough (probably because they have to play up there with Pav...).

I'd like to see Defoe on for Pav at half time, and Kranjcar on for Livermore later on. We lack creativity, but not effort.

really impessed with Carroll, very comfortable on the ball - dare I say say it, shades of Luka. I'd bring BAE on for Hudd and push Townsend to the left and Carroll inside with Livermore (who has impressed again too). I'd like to see Kane get 30 mins with vdV with him too

Hudd is supposed to provide the experience and class in a young inexperienced midfield, but has again been ineffective. Terrible free kicks not getting pass the first man and attempted long passes that are too easily cut off. He has been the worse than Livermore ,Carroll and Fredericks. On his showings this season he is a long way from our best team.

I think he was being sarcastic

The young ones are playing really well, been impressed with them than the established players.

Positive, lots of movement, want the ball and with a little bit of fine tuning a good looking up and coming punch who I would not be disappointed in seeing on a regular basis.

Kane's penalty miss... Pfft what about it, the play to get it was really good.

Someone should start singing, "First team, are you watching this, first team are you watching this"

Really impressed.

I like that Kane is at least making runs in the channels, don't get a lot of that with our other guys.

By the way, on this showing I'd choose Kane ahead of Pav any day of the week. He's showing he actually wants it, making runs, and generally being available. Pav gets it, then is either tackled or played an impossible ball for the recipient to get hold of.

Well that was riveting.

Pavlyuchenko is one big crock of shit.

Huddlestone's distribution has been pretty pants too.

Townsend and Fredericks look dangerous going forward .... maybe it will occur to our players to pass it to them a bit more.

Take Pava off and put VDV or Kranjcar in the hole ... hopefully it will bring Kane into the game. May as well bring Ekotto on for Huddlestone, tuck Carroll in and push Townsend up into midfield.
