Hull City vs Tottenham Preview
Hull City will be looking to halt their slide down the Premier League table when they entertain fellow strugglers Tottenham on Monday evening.

The Tigers have not won since beating Middlesbrough 2-1 in early December and they have been dragged back into the relegation battle.

However, they fought hard to hold Chelsea to a goalless draw in their last league outing, a result that led to the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Phil Brown will now want his men to build on their performance at Stamford Bridge and pick up a victory that will put them nine points clear of the bottom three.

Hull must get through the rest of the season without Jimmy Bullard after the midfielder was ruled out with a serious knee injury.

Striker Craig Fagan is also set to be sidelined for a couple of games following minor surgery on his knee.

Striker Daniel Cousin is available against Spurs after recovering from his own minor knee operation while captain Ian Ashbee has overcome a calf problem.

Kevin Kilbane returns after being ineligible for last week's FA Cup tie against Sheffield United, but midfielder Ryan France (thigh) is doubtful.
Matt Duke is set to be restored in goal ahead of Boaz Myhill.

Trio back for Spurs

It is the start of a potentially season-defining week for Tottenham with the second leg of their Uefa Cup tie against Shakhtar Donetsk on Thursday and the Carling Cup final to follow on Sunday.

The clash at the KC Stadium is arguably the most important of the three and Harry Redknapp does not want his men to look ahead to the trip to Wembley just yet.

Spurs are just two points above the drop zone and they have developed a habit of conceding costly late goals on their travels that Redknapp will be desperate to stamp out.

Ledley King (hamstring/knee) is expected to be rested and Alan Hutton (foot) and Jermain Defoe (foot) are out but Redknapp will be able to call on a number of players who were cup-tied for the defeat to Shakhtar in Ukraine on Thursday.

Robbie Keane, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Vedran Corluka are all back in the squad and likely to start.

Luka Modric, Jonathan Woodgate, Wilson Palacios and Aaron Lennon were also rested against Shakhtar and come back into contention.

Heurelho Gomes has insisted he is still the club's No.1 goalkeeper but Redknapp may decide to recall winter signing Carlo Cudicini.

Possible starting XIs

Hull City: Duke, Ricketts, Turner, Zayatte, Dawson, Ashbee, Geovanni, Marney, Kilbane, Garcia, Cousin.
Tottenham: Cudicini, Corluka, Woodgate, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Palacios, Jenas, Modric, Keane, Pavlyuchenko.

PREDICTIONS:
Skysports.com prediction: Hull City 1 Tottenham 1

Sky Bet odds: Hull City 2/1 Draw 9/4 Tottenham 11/8

One to Watch: Robbie Keane

I hope that is the team, not only tonight, but pretty much the rest of the season now. There seems to be a bit of everything there.

Yup, couldn't agree more.

Solid defece with palacios holding in front of them. Support from JJ who can defend and attack in equal measure, and the creative spark from Modric & Lennon on either flank - linking up with Keane.

Sounds perfect, and played that way against Arsenal but for the finishing.

Chimbonda at left back? No way, he's truly awful there. If he's going to play, its at right back or not at al for me.

O'Hara is still injured too - if he weren't, i'd have him at left back for us, really think he's our best option there.

BAE and Modric in for Chimbonda and O'Hara, and you've got our 11 V Hull I would hope/think.

If O'Hara is fit I'd really like to see him on the left and Modric in the middle with Palacios. he can tuck in and cover Modric when he goes forward then... If no O'Hara then I'd go with Hudd in the middle with Palacios and modric cutting in from the left.
Just please no JJ. He is no good to us in this situation. No fight no drive and above all no skill or vision.

Team news

Aaron Lennon is back in the frame for tonight's (Monday) Premier League clash at Hull City.
The flying winger picked up a slight groin injury in our last league outing against Arsenal, forcing him out of England Under-21 duty and Thursday night's UEFA Cup tie at Shakhtar Donetsk but boss Harry Redknapp reported that he is ready again for action.
Harry said he will make a late decision on Ledley King (hamstring) but Jamie O'Hara (hip) remains out.
"Jamie's not fit yet," said Harry on Sunday night. "We'll have to wait and see how Ledley is and we won't push him if he's not right. Aaron is okay."
Robbie Keane, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Vedran Corluka - all ineligible for the UEFA Cup - are all available again.
Jermain Defoe and Alan Hutton remain out with their longer-term foot injuries.

What the heck is wrong with Alan Hutton? He's been a really disappointing signing, mainly because when he got fit, he was playing poorly then he broke down again and we've not seen him since.

Does anyone know if Dos Santos is in the squad? Surely he proved on thursday night that he has enough talent to alteast sit on the bench.

I was hoping he pulled him off (ooeer) in Europe as much as for saving him for this game over simple fitness reasons.

VERY interested to see if he goes with Lennon or Modric. I can't see both of them playing away from home.

Please, please, please let us do what we did recently to Stoke, and show why our squad costs so much.
