Well that was a bit of a statement of intent a friendly we know but we have played 3 champions league sides winning one, should of spanked atletico and lost narrowly to Juve.
Im quietly optimistic about this year and if We add 1/2 more then we might make a few think, im going to say it but Fuck it we will beat everton next week.

Good performance but friendlies mean nothing.
I remember that fantastic pre season we had winning every game and spanking Roma 5.0 Then season started and we couldn't beat an egg, found ourselves in bottom 3 and Ramos (my bad lol) got the sack.
Similarly Wham last season hardly won a game but had a good season.
We look good though :)

Guys,

I'm sorry not to share your enthousiasm but beating THIS Inter means Nothing.

Just take a look a their summer friendly results.

09/07/2016 - Inter 0-0 Wattens (austrian 3rd division)
14/07/2016 - Inter 1-2 Cska Sofia (Bulgaria)
19/07/2016 - Inter 2-1- Real Salt Lake (USA)
24/07/2016 - Inter 1-3 PSG (France)

Moreover, Roberto MANCINI has lately has very bad relationships with Inter Board and might leave ( or be fired)
in the next few days.(Leonardo or Franck De Boer can be possible replacements).

In this context, this can be considered at a deliberate act to lose games.

The coach "might" want to get sack to get the money for the remaining time of his contract.

The players don't even try to win games as they know they will have a new coach very soon .
Every defeat "helps" their chance to get a New head Coach.

If Spurs play well, this is a good thing but a victory vs this Inter means very little.

I agree that we shouldn't get carried away, but if you look at how angry Mancini gets when Inter concede, I don't think any of their weakness was deliberate, and for much of the game they looked extremely determined and up for a result.

Where's all this enthusiasm?

Almost every positive post has "but it's just a friendly" in it and a large portion of the thread while the game was ongoing was a steady stream of complaints and criticism (which is normal for a game thread).

Janssen looks like a pain in the arse for defenders. Him and Wanyama are going to give us a lot of options this season. Perfect signings at reasonable prices.
Janssen looks very promising. Physically strong, understands the game, can pass and finish. I'd say he has potentially all the attributes to be a genuine success in the Prem.

I think that's a bit harsh. Inter maybe crap at the moment but the lads played well as a team and all looked to be clicking with each other. It's also another important run out for the team and a major confidence booster before Everton

two points that look very promising.

1) Winks and Dier seem to combine very well. Looking very zippy, both very clever on the ball. Compleatly dominating over inter.

Jansen and Kane playing together was great to watch, Jansen making a lot of space for the players around him. The thing which really shows is both are very technical players and are so much more than just finishers, Jansen is very apt at laying players off in a more N9 position while Kane is very good as a number 10. Even so they both roam around looking for pockets of space, which confused the Inter defense who expected a more traditional front two. Very excited about the potential of them playing together.

Please do not take this the wrong way, but Inter are cannon fodder, and are a pale of the side we faced in the CL. Munich put three past them in the first thirty minutes last week and PSG likewise.

Not knocking our performance today in the slightest, but when Maicon caught his taxi after that CL game so did most of that team.

Just caught up with extended highlights. Janssen looks exactly what I hoped for, keep it up fella. Lamela class

Some lovely interplay at times. Inter just seemed to give up at times - Kane's goal was shocking - and don't look all that, but very positive
