It's hard to judge City because they haven't had a big challenge yet.

Could anyone PM me an alternative to myp2p that shows sopcast? I'll rep ya.

It all depends on who plays in central midfield. Normally, that is the strongest part of our team but injuries and transfer speculation have decimated it. If Modders and Hudders can start then we are in with a chance. If not then we may be cannon fodder for the likes of Aguero, Dzeko and Tevez.

Prediction: 2:1 Spurs.

A revamped Spurs midfield (from the United game) will punish an over-confident and adventurous City side on the counter-attack.

We will dominate and lose or draw. City will let us play and we wont capitalise. It's vital we take our chances today, don't think we have the strikeforce to do so though.

Other way around imo. We will control the game and City will break. 3 defensive CMs from them vs our 2 CMs. We need to take our chances but that has been the problem for a while now, not taking chances.

If we go ahead we will win.

I'll be happy with a point. IMO our season starts the first time none of Crouch, Pav, or Defoe start in front of Rafa.

I am with you on that. Would take a point, season starts at Wolves so long as Adebayor starts.

I am just worried that we will not pick up one of the front men who drops deep a la Rooney, which destroyed us on Monday.

For christ sake, what a load of pussies.

We are at home, the onus is on us - we'll beat them.

Alright lads, back again ;)

Tough game today, hopefully we'll have a better go at it than last time we went to WHL now that the players have gelled somewhat. Great start to the season but this is the first big 'test', we've only played a newly promoted side and a midtable side so far this season, only achieved really what was expected of us (maybe with a little more style, but still). Honestly, an hour before kickoff I would quite happily snap your hand off for a draw today.

Our lineup, just announced officially: Hart, Zabaleta, Clichy, Kompany, Lescott, Barry, Yaya, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko

That's their most defensive line-up of the season so far, so Mancini obviously sees it as one of their tougher games...
