There was some body language tonite that has me feeling that we will loose some players in the summer.
Round about the middle of November I realised this was a summer I would not be spending online. Lots of sad, anxious, clinically depressed pandas by the 1st September imo. Regardless of what actually transpires, it's going to be an horrific summer of the big guns circling around our rich pickings if we do have a ****ybooby finish to the season or going after those players who are unsettled and maybe looking to move anyway for whatever reason.

Brutal 3 months in store.

Any side in the world would have lost to City with those kind of refereeing decisions. Pick ourselves up and lets **** the fuck out of everone else in the league with our best players back

No idea what happens in the summer if we don't get champs league.

Gonna lose some quality players.

I like Tim but i think someone more experienced is what is needed in the summer giving the turmoil we are going through. But perhaps stability with tim is what we need!?

So confused :(

Just seen the replay against.

That is a GREAT tackle by Danny Rose.

I'm old school. Benefit for the defender. No malice. 100% last ditch and gets a good proportion of the ball. And from the side. He does clip the back leg of Dzeko on the way through though but he doesn't go through him to get it.

20 years ago there is no debate. But football has softened in recent years.

Great tackle IMO.

We'd be up against it with a full strength team but without Sandro, Paulinho and Vertonghen plus every major ref call going their way we didnt stand a chance.

Saying that at 1-0 we were always in that game and the red card was a joke imo.

Thing is Sherwood showed a bit of naivity i think we should have just parked the bus and taken a 2-0/3-0.

Hes done well in building confidence back up and our goal difference back into the plus bracket but ruined all that by going for it with 10 men. Yes i admired the spirit at the time but another heavy defeat is damaging and trying to go blow for blow with that city side with 10 men is suicidal

We really need Jan, Sandro, Paulinho, Lamela and Townsend fit because the team we fielded today is nowhere near good enough for top four.

Stunned that Sherwood thought Sigurdsson would bring more to the game than having a holding midfielder in a middle 3.

spoke some sense but some rubbish, how he can say we can't kneejerk and sign players based on tonight and there isn't time anyway, you've had a bloody month to move on the deadwood like siggy, not fucking play them tonight to highlight how inferior they are

To cheer us all up we'll have a smug fat Sam Allardyce on motd.

Chelsea v West Ham stats. Wow. Just... wow.

There's something dysfunctional about our club at the moment. Bent referring or not, you can't be shipping 5 again at home. There's too much uncontrolled 'defending' throughout the team this season. While we're doing reasonably well, we're not turning other sides over with 4 or 5 to spare while it's happening to us with alarming regularity. It's turning into more of a maddening season than a mad one, and you'd like to think Sherwood has a plan to get our big players back in the eleven and get on a run to chase down Liverpool.

I'm a fan of Sherwood's and think AVB was a bit of a fraud and deserved the boot. But make no mistake about it, Sherwood is on notice now and wont be allowed another shellacking. What's been happening to us this season doesn't happen to properly managed football teams - and by management I mean everyone from the coaches up to Levy.
Hmm, the difference between a fraud and someone of whom you are a fan is one goal for and one goal against, is it? Spiffing!

Bad result yes, played shit yes, but i have to be honest i am glad that we played them at this time on the season!! Would be even more gutting if it was April !!! We are at the moment still in with chance of 4th position!! lets not press the demolition button just yet!!

To be fair it was take your pick from the midfield tonight - Dembele was the only one deserving of a second half appearance. Eriksen and Bentaleb were poor, Siggy and Lennon anonymous.

Yeah, Eriksen was poor, that's why I said Sherwood was 40 minutes late replacing him with Holtby. What use is putting on a player with 10 minutes to go, at 4-1 down?

Did they also lose 6-0, 5-0 and drop points at home to West Brom & West Ham that season?

Maybe, they had a shit start. Your point? If you drop points to WB and WH it's impossible to get top4? Well then maybe we should just give up and play guys from academy from now on.

I think tonight gave us some really interesting food for thought...

Is it better to play with 10 men without Sigurdsson or 11 men with Sigurdsson? Really tough call for me.
