Patrice Evra was booked in the 78th minute; a statistic which is of absolutely no significance......unless you consider that he hacked down lennon early in the first half. For that hideous challenge - which would have seen any other ref book anybody who did it - he was merely warned, not given a yellow card. Had Mr Dean done his job properly, we would have played the last twelve minutes against ten men.

We were given a free kick when a ManUre player handled the ball in our box. Yet when a player from the same team did exactly the same thing in his own penalty area, nothing was given. Useless, spineless officiating.

We got nothing from the ref today.

Except the free kick that we scored from which was bought.

You know that Lennon hardly touched the ball in the time he was on in the second half right? He made no passes, and one tackle in the second half. He may have had a good first half, but was nowhere in the second. Good call by AVB.

I know what you are saying, but for the first time all season we were hurting a team down the wings, actually going past players with a right footed player on the right wing. Taking lennon off negated that threat, cos Chadli and Townsend both drift in. We actually joked at half time that AVB would probably take Lennon off at 60 mins (and that was obviously before they came out). I'm not having a pop, its just i (and the majority of the stadium) thought it was a strange, yet inevitable substitution, but what do i know?

Managed to completely miss the game.....
For some reason thought it was 1pm kick-off!
I had no intention of finding a stream to watch it anyway as I can't watch us play such dull football anymore.

I couldn't understand at all how Evra wasn't booked for that early challenge on Lennon, that was a booking all day long! Also Evans first half on Paulinho and Smalling first half on Verts in mist games I have seen this season were bookings!

You missed out then because it was far from dull.

He may heave done that in the first half, but he didn't in there second. He was anonymous. Completely anonymous. Was the right decision.
