I think that there is less to the choice of defenders than meets the eye: just that when Fazio and Vertonghen were fit and available, the next match where rotation was needed was a cup match and, since then, we've been playing twice most weeks. When there's a break and all 4 are rested, then we'll find out whether Pochettino has a first choice partnership.

For real? People are worried that Verts playing tonight rules him out for the weekend? I think we shouldn't make any assumptions about the line up, as everything is being evaluated by Pooch right now. My guess is that he wants him and Fazio to get mere time and experience playing together before Arsenal. Good idea, if you ask me.
