That was a pretty terrible performance. Defence was good, Gomes being excellent helped. We look much better at the back with Woody.

I'm sure there will be talk that Gomes should have been sent off though. We got the luck today, the luck we didn't get against Stoke.

we have some of our best players out, gomes pulls off a great performance, there is no direction from redknapp so the team just have to make it up as they go, crouch not used to seeing the ball on the deck yet and you guys are still complaining?

****s, seriously

This makes up for the Stoke game. As they always say luck even's it self out over a season.

Gomes and Woody were awesome.

Crouch is awful? True, we played too many long balls but that's not his fault!

He created the first goal and won us a lot in the air. He wasn't that good, but by no means was he the worst player on the pitch!

i've watche dthe whole game and thought we played alright! :)

Played alright! Our keeper was head and shoulders man of the match.. what game were you watching? As soon as we had 11 men (Keane off for krankjar) we played much better, if Keane starts again next week, I will start to believe something is not quite right with Rednapp.

Gomes is a f*****g star... I Love him. 4-3-3 obviously does not suit our squad, 4-4-2 much better. We did the same smash and grab on Sunderland, Stoke did on us, so luck evens out at the end.

Crouch looks useless when he starts I am afraid to say... Huddlestone scored a great goal, but he is way too slow for the Premier league (IMO).

Need Lennon and Modric back for the next home game, we are still up there, and there are no easy games in the PL these days. I must say Sunderland played very good football today, with 5 Spurs rejects in the side, isn't life ironic

Welll done /Nico, i love 'arry, but this so called diamond formation will never work for us. I thought we were going to lose today, after the pathetic performcance. But all credit to Sunderland. looking forward to the break (NOT), just don't want Defoe getting injured. 2 weeks and looking forward to having luka and Lennon back ! Sorry Capello Lennon will not be coming out to play against Brazil !

Its not a red. Not even close to being DOGSO.
Seen the penalty incident clearly, Bent drags his feet over Gomes's arms, definitely NOT a sending off, and dubious penalty.

One thing for sure, we must start improving, before we go to Villa.

If Man U play badly, and win 1-0, it's because they are a great team.

If Spurs play badly, and win 2-0, it's because it's daylight robbery.

Makes sense.

Very rarely are Man united ever as bad as we were today or outplayed for large parts at home.

Awful tactics today don't understand what he was doing

Bent should've got a yellow for diving. Was already on the ground long before Gomes touched him, but justice came trough:)

Gomes was fantastic today,Woody was good and the rest were poor.
Crouch is useless and I hate to see him start because we will never find a rhytmn to our play while he plays.
Palacious was unbelievably poor by his standards and just hasn't been himself for a good few games now.
Kranjcar was good when he came on and started to make things happen, must start the next game.
Defoe was constantly offside.

That scumbag Bent dived for the penalty!
