Romero dominates in back 3 formations, he will do a lot of dirty work that Skipp/Hojbjerg normally do, Regi should be much better too. Wonder if it's Skipp or Hojbjerg in Brozovic role.

I've not seen them that much, but doesn't PEH play that role for Denmark? I'm pretty sure they don't use him solely as a DCM; he has a responsibility to join in attacks.

He's got an eye for a pass and I reckon he's got half a dozen goals a season in him if he can get forward a bit more.
Denmark played 5 at the back after Eriksen was out. PEH was one of the players of the tournament after that.

Amazing though that GLC and Ndombele can't even get into the side isn't it, what a collosal waste of money so far.

Well there isn't much choice is there? The transfer window isn't open yet. Anyway I'm pumped. COYS.
I expected 3 at the back as that's how Conte always plays. But wanted to see Lo Celso and Ndombele instead of Skipp and Lucas so we have more players in midfield, more creativity there. But on the other hand I haven't won multiple titles as a manager :ROFLMAO: Yeah I'm pomped as well. COYS!!

This is the Conte safe version. At home need a win in a shit comp. They will be more involved when the system is instilled no doubt.

Crouch is spot on, recruitment is still going to be the key to Conte making a success of it here. We need to sign some players like Liverpool did with Mane, Salah, Vdv, Allison. Not necessarily really expensive players, although the latter two were, but players that turn into genuinely top top talents.

Just three or four top new signings will kick this team on big time under Conte.

Win this regardless how many defenders we are playing the balance of the team looks good. The line up is a statement - start winning and lift confidence.

Seeing a lot of "where will our creativity come from?"

We'll have to get accustomed to the fact that Conte is a systems manager. Our chance creation isn't going to come from a single creative player a la Eriksen. The passing and movement within the system as well as the attacking fullbacks are where the chances will come from.

Think Klopps Liverpool where their midfield or forward line isn't particularly creative but their passing and movement as well as their fullbacks create the chances.

Even moreso think back to Conte's Chelsea team:

Moses Kante Matic Alonso
Pedro Costa Hazard

We may not see the fluidity in tonight's game (duh!), but as Conte coaches the team and we sign players that fits his system, we'll be alright.

Vlahovic, Kessie/Brozovic, De Vrij/Romagnoli would have similar impact if we can do it. Hope we extend Lloris for another year or two.

I’m confused, it seems some people were expecting him to name some new signings in the starting XI...? But it’s November... and we dont have any.

In fairness just watching Contes interview here and there’s a noticeable language barrier... I can’t understand a word Jeff Brazier is saying.

A little surprised with the seemingly 3-4-3, Davies at LCB doesn’t surprise me. It’s a lot more balanced with a lefty there, as we had in Super Jan. Romero central? He steps out and attacks the ball, so Dier and Davies can still cover. I like it. More surprised that it’s Hojbjerg and Skipp in the middle. Thought one of LoCelso or Ndombele would get the nod, but, I’m cool with it. I’m sure Conte will appreciate my coolness with it.
Anyway, I like it.

Let’s go out there and LICK some balls.

Err, I mean KICK, kick some balls!
