Let's hope that Parker is back for the Everton game. Otherwise our game in hand might have been worthless all along.

Not the best performance but perhaps it's important to remember that Man City couldn't break down the Baggies last week.

To be honest I reckon we'll need Parker, King and Lennon judging by that tonight...I'm hoping all three will be ready.

A lot of those definately need a rest now, I thought Bale, VDV, Modric and Adebayor were all below-par tonight a bit but it just seemed to be a lack of energy if anything.

had to listen on the radio today and it sounded like we were solidly in control apart from after all our midfielders had been injured.

Good 3 points against a well-organised and hard-working team.

Can't believe our position in the league now!

7 points in 8 days and you would think we just came through Christmas in the relegation zone rather than comfortably in 3rd with a game in hand. Misery is more addictive than Heroin.

I think they need to go back to basics a bit and get some shape back. The last few games we've seemed to think we're Barcelona at times - players roaming about wherever they like.

The 'Europa' squad should be good enough to see off Cheltenham, with Dawson and Lennon perhaps getting 60mins each. A week's rest with the prospect of a game in hand at home to reel in the top 2 should put more air in the lungs.

There can be no excuses for tiredness against Everton next Weds. And hopefully a win with a real good home performance, havent had one for a while. COYS

Lovely gap opening up between the top 3 and the rest :0)

Much tougher than I expected tonight but i'll take the 3 points. Agree we should have a bit more strength back in the squad by the Everton game next week.

COYS!

I think while we were clearly making heavy weather of things, to hold on with the ramshackle team we had at the end, shows so much for the spirit of this team, so a great game under the circumstances!

Do you remember those wooden labyrinth games where you'd carefully try to get the marble through the maze and it would keep dropping down the holes half way round. They used to drive me bonkers but were strangely addictive. Watching the game tonight was much the same experience. Spurs mounted dozens of slow, careful attacks and kept losing the ball without looking like scoring. We finally did - what a relief. I think I completed the marble game once or twice too. It's almost not one to enjoy, just let out the big held breath from the last 25-30 minutes and walk away with the result.

We keep saying we need to rest players/rotate the squad - but I can't see any creativity beyond the the 11-12 that have been starting the last few games and they've looked knackered for the last 2-3 matches.

The three or four players that have been subbed on recently (Livermore, Pav, Kranc) have offered very little and don't give any encouragement of lifting the team if they started.

Let's hope Lennon's return is confirmed soon. We need that double dose of pace down the flanks back. Bale was like a beehive today the way players were swarming him. Impressed with VdV's commitment in the game and good to see him last all 90 minutes... though that was perhaps out of necessity rather than choice given all the other players dropping around him.

Also good to see Kaboul's runs (especially that manic one at the end where he took it down to the corner and put it out off the WB player for a throw).

Do we need to practice our freekicks a bit more? I'm sure they must do, but I seem to remember us scoring more from those 20-25 yard positions in the past - when was the last one that we scored from a free kick like that? It's not even like we don't have some talented 'free kickers' - Bale built his reputation on it when he first caught people's attention in Southampton.
