yeah in the tour 4? years ago (the one before the most recent one) in a couple of the games against San Jose/Red Bulls/Sporting Lisbon. He was actually one of our better players, after Cudicini, on the tour in some very lackluster team performances.

You know Tim, if you want to quell my cynicism and actually make me excited about the rest of this season (since you're almost certainly going to be the manager for the rest of it), there's really few better games to make a statement in.

ie. A Defoe, Lennon, Townsend, Naughton team will mean Dad blew it in the bookies
or Eriksen, Adebayor/Soldado etc means Dad came up trumps.

With all due respect, there isn't a legitimate reason why Eriksen and Lamela shouldn't be starting tonight. It is a home game, they are in desperate need of game time and their skill sets are exactly the remedy for the chief problem this squad has. They are both 21 years old and are used to playing lots of first team football, so any talk of resting them for Sunday doesn't sit well with me. In fact, these guys need lots of game time to keep their skills sharp in my opinion (a major reason why we haven't seen Lamela's best this season).
