I'm worried our new coaches are English old-schoolers - Defoephiles, lovers of hard graft over technique, with a religious belief in 4-4-2 over poncey foreign formations.

They played a progressive 4-3-3 with the youth teams.

We are playimg 4-4-2 tonight. Doesnt mean they will every week. Thats what good coaches do...change the formation dependimg on the game. Unlike avb.

I blame the fans.. they're cheering too loud :ROFLMAO:

Interesting you say that, because on the foreign stream I've got the Spam fans are roundly outsinging ours now and have been since about the 10th minute.

Anyone else noticing how high the fullbacks are getting forward? Getting very central too, occupying space near Dembele.

We look like a bench of 11 year olds playing football at school. There is lots of enthusiasm but there isn't any quality. Defoe has missed a great chance, stood offside and smashed a couple miles over and/or wide. Having Adebayor back in the side means we keep hitting long balls. The players a running around a bit though which should please Tim

but are they "faaaaaaacking" running around a bit?"

I can't get a single source working to watch it and you're all being extremely contradictory. I have no effing clue what's happening.

Grrr....o_O
its all spurs. were creating lots from crosses but dont look like scoring without a little luck. we should break them down eventually though. just all a bit rushed in our build up

What do fans expect....2 days training under new regime and playing 442 tonight, a system we have rarely played in 18 months.

Yes its unorganised. A bit messy. But give Tim a break...already better than the crap avb served up for 18 months.
