One thing that was on Arsemania was that we will probably bring out a dvd, that actually made me think god we probably bloody will. Lennon is only going to get better and better, SWP is a poor man's Lennon all day long.

Our highest scoring game since 1977.. i think a dvd is quite deserved this time. Im not sure we will see us scoring 9 in a game anytime soon!

but the man of the match for me was Lennon. I can't think of a better winger in this league. He murdered Edman, his crossing and passing was brilliant and he gets back and helps the defence every time. All this in his first game back after a few weeks out (no wonder he was shattered).

I wondered if somebody was going to mention that. Two of his interceptions in the first half were quite sublime, at a time when Wigan could easily have got back into the game.

First time a team has scored 8 goals in one half in the P/L

First time a player has scored 5 goals in one half in the P/L

Fastest time a player has scored 5 goals in the P/L

First time this Century a player has scored 5 goals in the P/L

First time a team has scored 9 goals this Century in the P/L

this was posted on bluemoon too, some of them are quite rightly worried about us this season, we are currently one of their main rivals for the final fourth spot.

And the first time I've seen Spurs score 9 but didn't have to turn the playstation off!

How many games did it take us to score 9 in total last season?

Edit: To answer my own question, it was Bent's goal at the Emirates that took our league season tally to 9 goals last season, in our tenth game! How things change, and we drew 0-0 with Wigan too.

Fantastic all round. But i feel sorry for Bentley though. He comes on and scores a great free kick but some jobsworth with an action replay machine decides it is an own goal.
How does that help anyone? Give Bentley the goal!

Got an email from a chelsea fan this morning saying how shit Wigan were but failed to compliment us.

Ha ha People really find it had to give us any sort of credit don't they.

I had that from a Liverpool supporting mate of mine yesterday too. Pool fans aren't really in a position to talk about shit teams at the minute though.

You know what? I don't give a toss about negative comments from out there. We know we played a fantastic game, that we played as a real team with every player contributing 100% plus and that it really came together yesterday like a dream.

We can praise individual players but it was the teamwork and the way all our lads seemed to be telepathically linked that made it something very special.

Days like that don't come too often. We are more than entitled to relish it and tuck it away among our glorious memories in years to come.

What's more, we can have more great days like this. And we will. And no snide remarks are going to spoil it for me. Nothing can.

I had a dream last night that we beat Wigan 5-0.

The strange thing is I wasn't even aware we were actually playing Wigan until I checked this morning.

Bizarre.

I would say this is spooky, but in reality I was no closer than if it had been 1-0.

Spurs have got 4 in the team of the week.

Defoe (POTW)
Crouch
Lennon
Kranjcar

Wigan had 7 in the worst XI of the week including all 4 defenders

If it was just a hallucination, an awful lot of us are sharing it!

Yes, it did feel unreal as the ball zipped into the net again and again ... and again... and again... and again... and again ...and again... and again... and again!
