Well some sites reckon us and dortmund want to sign henderson from utd. He's just signed a 5 year deal recently. Utd would be best to get rid of de gea and have henderson as your number one for the next 10 years.
Pope and Henderson is two good options for when Lloris leaves.
Apparently Henderson is on 120k per week at Utd. That could be a massive stumbling block if we wanted him.
Hugo if he goes is nothing to do with form.Yes it is likely Hugo will have a few more years left at the top level, and this is indeed just a bad run, but who knows. The question of him leaving, unless his form doesn’t show signs of improvement, is probably up to him.
Hugo is 34, which is old even for a goalkeeper. I would say 5 years is absolute maximum but most likely 2 or 3, though 34 is the end for many goalkeepers.
Pope is 28, that’s not a 2-4 year stop gap, that’s 6 seasons difference which is a lot. Lloris has been here much longer than anyone really expected, 4 years or more is already a considerable amount of time. Pope fits the bill perfectly and is a good goalkeeper, possibly not the best option, but certainly one of the safest options.
I was very impressed with Jonstone the other day. He gets my vote and should be available.Nick Pope would be a very good choice to replace Hugo but 30m seems a lot, especially if we have a restricted budget.
Cheaper options could be Gulacsi (£10m release fee and HG), Maignan (contracts expires 2022), Onana (contrsct expires 2022 but currently banned for a year), Johnstone (WBA relegated), Raya Martin (if Brentford don't get promoted) and Areola (Part Ex with Lloris).
We probably need 2 keepers as well, I do not want Hart as 2nd choice next season but he is a perfect back up to the back up. Freddie Woodman at Swansea looks a good keeper, currently on loan from Newcastle.
So Winks is valued at £10 million?Good to see this link, can’t see 30m being needed either. 20 plus Winks.
Thanks for the service, Hugo.
Why would PSG go for Winks? They have a number of players who do that kind of role for them and are better at it than winks. Lazy link.Good to see this link, can’t see 30m being needed either. 20 plus Winks.
Thanks for the service, Hugo.
Some may say both retired end of last season on this seasons performance.I reckon just wants to reunite with Poch their very close, pick up couple trophies and with pandemic just be closer to home.I'd thank him for the memories and wish him well for sure, great servant he's not the sole reason for defensive issues imo.Hugo if he goes is nothing to do with form.
Well I think he can handle himself really well,Excellent news. We need a new scape goat.
But he started the season on very good form, a lot of people praising him on here, it's just a poor run of form, it hasn't even been that many games. He's definety had worse patches. Some may say both retired end of last season on this seasons performance.I reckon just wants to reunite with Poch their very close, pick up couple trophies and with pandemic just be closer to home.I'd thank him for the memories and wish him well for sure, great servant he's not the sole reason for defensive issues imo.
Ask BuffonHe's 28 and you think he has 10 years left in him? Does that mean that in fact Hugo isn't past it, but still have 5-7 years left and is having a bad run?
Doesn't make sense to me, we should be looking for a longer term younger replacement if Hugo leaves, not a 2-4 year stopgap.
Van der Sar was 34(!) when he joined United and became one of their best and most succesful goalkeepers ever (4 titles, Champions League etc.). Not many can do what he did, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with signing a 28/29 year old goalkeeper (Pope).Ask Buffon
IF Nagelsmann was to come in, he would be a nightmare. As solid and consistent as Pope is, his distribution is probably the worst in the league. A big reason why Pickford gets selected for England over him.
