The article states this women lives on Rosemary Avenue. Rosemary Avenue is a 40 minute walk from Hotspur Way, and not a single car going to the training ground would have to go past her house (though I reckon we should all detour, just to piss her off :D). The new stand is 4 rows tall (!!!), and will hold a maximum of 500 people (so let's say 250 cars), but probably nearer 100 people most the time (so 50 cars?)

How is this going to affect her life to such an extent she can be this bothered?

Also, she lives much closer to Enfield Town's ground (which can hold 2,500) than the Spurs training ground. Mildly amusing she is complaining about this, with that in mind.

BTW this is the planning application in full :

http://forms.enfield.gov.uk/swiftlg...l?theApnID=P13-03408MMA&theTabNo=3&backURL=<a href=wphappcriteria.display?paSearchKey=539525>Search Criteria</a> > <a href='wphappsearchres.displayResultsURL?ResultID=568067%26StartIndex=1%26SortOrder=APNID:asc%26DispResultsAs=WPHAPPSEARCHRES%26BackURL=<a href=wphappcriteria.display?paSearchKey=539525>Search Criteria</a>'>Search Results</a>

The stadium is required to comply with revised EPPP (Elite Player Performance Plan) rules for 2013/14 season for Category 1 Academies (including Spurs) it must play a number of Development League 1 matches at the Training Centre, in addition to hosting matches at its White Hart Lane (WHL) stadium and requires a new criteria for Category 1 Academy Venues hosting Development League 1 matches. This requires a range of other measures that Academy Venues have the ability to accommodate: a minimum of 500 spectators under cover.

Spurs have taken 'Pre application' advice from Enfield Council, and assuming the application reflects that pre-planning advice, then the application is likely to be approved at the formal planning meeting later this month (25 February ?)

Looks very cool. I don't see what there is to complain about, it's very unobstrusive

Not as cool as Chelsea's training ground stands, though. Arf:

So thats like, 10 rows of fifty seats how high do they think that would be?
Even if you doubled it wiyh rows of 25!

It's four rows of 125 seats:

Edit: after looking closer at the renders, the number or rows varies between four and two, so that would imply that each row has more than 125 seats.

Futuristic as Fuck...they're trying to get that runner with their laser eye's...

Looks like a decent little stand that...could probably get away with a few more rows if they wanted...there are big trees behind

The overall Stand structure is 93.6m long, 4.3m wide at its deepest and 3.7m high ie its designed to be as low on the ground as is practical so only a few rows of seats, but the full length of the pitch.

The height of the stadium means its unlikely to be used for a TV gantry - maybe if we get one the TV camera will need to be attached to a floodlight !

There is a gantry that is used for the highlights of youth matches(clearly not any more) and for other channels

The training ground does tend to be windy so a stand is great imo

Quick question, do Spurs own the land?

I will never understand the need to get permission to build something on land that you own. One of the stupid laws of both America and England, IMO. Just doesnt make sense to me. If you own the land, you should be able to do what ever the fuck you want with it without having to deal with the city or any bitchy residents that have nothing better to do with their lives but complain for the sake of complaining. Just my opinion.

So you don't get arseholes ruining good architecture and to stop bad development like poor quality developments which may end up doing more harm than good.
BTW, the Planning Department has made its recommendation to the Planning Committee :

That planning permission be GRANTED subject to conditions (on page 16 of the linked document)

There was no real reason for it to be rejected. Unless we were planning to move there!

Spurs have most of the land on a 75 year lease from Enfield council, I think.

I guess that it's possible that they bought some farmland in addition to what Enfield was able to offer them.

On the principle of having to seek planning consent, I couldn't disagree with you more but I don't wish to take this thread off on that tangent, so I'll say no more!
