Without wishing to hijack your thread and in the interest of keeping all travel talk for tuesday night in this thread.......can anyone advise on the best place to park near the ground for a quick exit back to the A406 / M1 after the game?

North Middlesex Hospital car park. You can jump straight back on to the A406 from there.

You can walk down the high road to Seven Sisters station and get the 73 bus straight to Euston.

This is what I'll be doing as its what the transport for london website suggets, so I'd imagine the buses (even if they put on extra ones cos of the strike) are gonna be ridiculously overcrowded.

Soooo pissed off about this - I hope the government/whoever holds strong and tells the unions to go fellate themselves, as any concessions will just encourage further industrial action. :bang:

I don't. The trade union movement is partially responsible for many of the terms and conditions of employment that we all take for granted today.

The tubes will still run Tuesday, just a little less frequently - I suggest not hanging around after the game though because the later it gets the worse it gets. Wednesday will get it most.

I have little sympathy for the unions at the best of times, so I'm really pissed off this time. Hopefully the strikes wont be too bad and there will still be some sort of service. If not, I'm going to kidnap Bob Crowe, paint him dark blue and stick in the Sea of Japan so the whale hunters can have a go at him.

oh bollocks. this is going to be an absolute nightmare

My exact thoughts! So many people are going to be using White hart lane station it's going to be a nightmare to get train from there to Liverpool street after the game.

Oh joy. I'm not working, so I'll get there nice and early to avoid it and get in the pub, but getting home should be fun

Even getting to Liverpool Street doesn't really solve anything. I live in South West London god damn it

Alternatively fans can also make use of the extensive bus network in the area

We park in the industrial area oppersite ikea. You normally pay a fiver but the traffic isnt too bad leaving and you can always get a space. It's a 5 min walk to the ground then.

Fuck striking. It's seemingly the in thing now and it's ridiculous. The fire service are on strike and there were a lot of incidents where picketing fire fighters abused the stand in workers, threw stones, locked equipment up and emptied water tanks. I hate strikes with an absolute passion.

The tube has been even more shit recently as well, there have been relatively severe delays every day for the past fortnight.

Anyone else still being advised to take the tube according to TFL? Is the strike going ahead?

I believe it is still going ahead but there always seems to be a limited service running on other strike days. It will be a bit uncomfortable getting home as every tube will be rammed but as we are going to win it does mean diddly to me!! ;-)
