Justified praise for Crouchy from the ITV highlights team tonight. Thought he played really well.
How people would rather see him leave instead of Pav is beyond me. Yes we need to upgrade, but i would always want him in our squad.
I mean we have never failed to reach the CL KO stages so i was always confident.
Pav's a much better finisher (in the league, at any rate). That's about it.
As I've commented before, if another EPL outfit had splurged £14m for Pav, we'd be taking the piss no end.
If only we'd put the Pav money towards Arshavin. Don't know exactly what went on there, but didn't they keep upping the price?

They upped the price two or three times. Every time we matched it. So finally they said ", we aint selling anyway".
On the next bit I'm a bity hazy...but didn't they sell him to ArseScum for less than we had agreed to pay:shrug:
SP says Spurs must NEVER do business with Zenit again, E V E R:evil:
FUCK. Modric's only interview and I missed it. Genuinely gutted.
First person to upload it gets free sex from a moderator of their choice.
yeah they got him for like 12-14 mil
we was offering about 16-18 or somethin round there
fuckers
yeah the ruskys were playing games, fuck arseshavings anyway were would he fit in our current team
it's a pity we didn't get Milito when we had the chance he's fucking pure quality
Actually the amount earned is much greater than :
[x] € 2.100.000 for reaching Play-Offs
[x] € 7.100.000 for reaching Group Stages
[x] € 0.400.000 for draw vs Bremen
[x] € 0.800.000 for win vs Twente
[x] € 0.000.000 for loss vs Inter
[x] € 0.800.000 for win vs Inter
[x] € 0.800.000 for win vs Bremen
[x] € 3.000.000 for reaching R. of last 16
[_] € 3.300.000 for reaching QF
[_] € 4.000.000 for reaching SF
[_] € 5.200.000 for losing Final
[_] € 9.000.000 for winning Final
[_] € x.xxx.xxx TV Revenue Pool
€ 15.000.000 Prize Money so far
In addition Spurs will have earned a proportion of the 'Market Pool' which is awarded on the basis of 'the commercial value of their domestic television market, the number of UEFA Champions League matches they play this season and their final position in the domestic league table last term' Last year Liverpool, who did not get out of their Group, earned € 19,777,000, so I would guess that Spurs are likely to get more than that by getting into the Group Stages ie Spurs will have earned more than ie. € 35 million in total.
In addition Spurs will have kept their home gate receipts.
There will be additional costs as well (players bonuses etc) but the net profit of the Champions League campaign so far is a lot of additional cash - but a good deal of it paid at the end of the season even if earned already.
The dilenmma of buying a top striker in January is likely to be that all the best strikers will be 'cup tied' from the Champions League for the knock out stages this season.....and those in the Group Stages may not want to move....so maybe we will find ourselves waiting until summer as Levy/Redknapp probably will not buy unless the striker is a step above those we have.

well, Bale Van der Vaart Arshavin with Moric and Hudd behind sounds pretty good to me. What the hell, throw Milito up front too.
