Anywho, I didn't get to watch the game in Germany because I was on holiday in Sicily at the time. It'll be interesting to see what Werder are made of. Must win game for them if they stand any chance of qualification, so it wont be easy.

That's the worrying bit for sure, they might well go 1 up, but although Marin alone can cause havoc, their injuries are so extensive that I can't see them having enough of the ball over 90 min to win.

Hutton, Lennon, Bale and Jenas aren't slow Gibbs131.You can stick Benny and Younes in that too. I've also read that Gomes runs a mean 100m too.

Looks good to me, come on Spurs lets wrap this up tonight.

Haha, I could never see Gomes being quick! Would be funny to watch him compete in a 100m run.

That is a slow team.

I think HR thinks we can walk this one. The only thing that worries me is while this team shits on the Germans for skill, ze Germans will be fitter. We may struggle physically with this lineup.

I just hope we get an early lead. Because we could creak in the last 20 mins.

Bench will be important IMO.

Only slow up front - is that what you meant?

Otherwise it's one of the quicker teams we've put out

And why will they be fitter? Because they play in Germany?

What's your rationale for saying we'll be poor in the last 20? Our second half performances have been much stronger than first half

I really dislike myself for how much I seem to have a go at you - seriously, I am sorry - but you just have an amazing habit of being wrong about absolutely everything. It's extraordinary

Slow, eh? Don't think so.

As always, looking for a serious team performance tonight.

Come on, lets finish top of the group so we can play and whoop Braga in the last 16!

Here's a worrying stat for Tottenham from the boys at Infostrada Sports, by the way. Rafael van der Vaart misses the match at White Hart Lane: the Dutchman has missed 19 previous Champions League matches for his various clubs, who have won just four of them in his absence. In fact, his clubs have only taken 0.9 points per match in fixtures which he has missed compared to 1.41 in those that he has played. A bad omen for Spurs tonight perhaps?

1933: Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp: "Van der Vaart wasn't close to being available. He went for a scan and then knew he wouldn't be available. We're starting Crouchy and Pav - there's good firepower. We miss Rafa but we've got plenty of good players. There's no risk playing Bale, he had a problem with shoulder but he feels fine. We'll play at a high tempo, we have to get after them and work them. We'll try to cause them problems down the flanks."

Sounds like VDV potentially has a bigger problem than it seemed

Another worrying stat, Spurs haven't won away at Arsenal in 17...

...oh wait that is right. Who gives a shit about omens? They just keep putting them up there for this team to smash.

My money is on Jenas scoring tonight. My crystal ball is showing the number 8. Now it might be possible that I'm accidentally looking at a very shiny 8-ball, but that is besides the point.
