They are posting the game on twitter.

Is it wrong for me to think it's all a bit cringegy?

We want trophies now not reliving events from 33 years ago

Embarrassing (n)

Yeah!

Fuck the club and its history!

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

some night that was

when Ardiles smashed that ball against the crossbar from two yards out I was in despair...20 seconds later Roberts scores and we are all bouncing up and down like loons

That was quite an astonishing miss from Ossie. He must have had to buy GR a few pints that night!

I didn't realise there was no "pass back" rule in those days.

The first time i saw it happen i was thinking wtf ref, then it happened again and again:whistle:

I Remember the season they brought that rule in, I'd been a keeper for a few years and the first few games were a ball ache. The amount of indirect freekicks in the first few matches (not just from me) was ridiculous

Comments from my 8 yr old watching the game on fb live:

Why didn't the ref give a free kick for the pass backs?

Why did they hold up a board with a number on, didn't they have electricity in those days?

Why are their shorts so short?

What's up with their hair?

Why isn't he (Archibald) wearing shin pads?

He (Tony Parks) is excellent

He (Ally Dick) is rubbish.

Are they booing him (Dick)?

Is that a real pitch??

Why isnt Hoddle playing?

Was the match on Sky?

I'm pretty sure that was the season just after a World Cup. 1994? '98?

Anderlecht's offside trap was proper. Not just taking a step forward and putting your hand up, they were like charging buffalos to the halfway line.

my fave ever game
Memories from that game
Queuing to get in for about 90 mins, think it was pay on gate
The silence when they equalised followed by the crowd getting behind us
The sense of destiny that as a 12 year old we would actually win
Singing one Danny Thomas after he missed his pen
How good was Robbo
The elation and going mental when we one, with my dad
Memories like that are worth more than any amount of money
