This would be the most winnable of targets for next season. And certainly more important than the rubbish Carabao. Yet most people here wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, and would rather be out of Europe entirely. Fair play to West Ham for winning it, and staying in Europe for 2023-24. I know I'd trade our season for theirs.

What is that perspective? Genuinely?

Regardless of people’s thoughts on the ECL, it’s a European trophy that you have to go through numerous rounds to win. Regardless of the opposition they’ve still won a trophy.

What perspective do we take? “They win the ECL but we think we’re above it despite never winning anything”.
