For all those shots we didn't create one single chance that actually looked like it was going in though. The penalty allowed Liverpool to sit back and just focus on denying us, so we resorted to sterile possession and pot shots.

It was a shit game.
Yep I was up almost top row in that Stadium just watching the time go by, as soon as they got that pen minute 2 or whatever it was we all knew it was over.

We huffed and puffed but never really looked like scoring unfortunately, then they got us with a knockout blow.

Fine margins in sport, had that penalty not been awarded like today it probably wouldn't have been then we could've gone on to win that game, finals and important games sometimes involve some luck but if you make enough of them then you will win some eventually.

Not saying it wasn’t shit, it was infuriatingly shit but it wasn’t one sided like the final against city

I don't mind this, at least hes got a pair of bollox. Hes his own man. More than can be said of most of the media controlled boring pussies in the game today.
Yes, he's his own man
but it's not a very nice man.
rude and offensive in the extreme
and he'll get worse as his sell-by date
vanishes in the rear view mirror.
Distraction from failure I'm afraid.

Ironic really as everything he does it for the media's attention.

Everyone loves it. It provides a talking point. How boring everything would get without these Characters. Most interviews are so dam boring and pointless.
Yeah he loves the attention we all know that but he stands up for what he believes in, nothing wrong with that.

It is wrong when fans use his words and actions to justify harassing the referee at the airport. It's gone way too far.

Watch the videos of Taylor and his family practically being assaulted in the airport and then decide whether there's "nothing wrong" with what Mourinho said/did.

Absolute fucking disgrace. This is on Mourinho and his staff.

I thought Taylor did well yesterday and think he is a good ref overall. Youre right, Jose acting like a **** set the tone for all this and made it 'ok' to do what these fuckos are doing.

Fans being arseholes. We know what they’re like. A chair was thrown at security and rest was shouting. No worse than he gets on the pitch I’m sure. Yeah it’s not right I agree. But can’t pin that on Mourinho. Great story for the media though.

Trying to downplay this is a joke tbh. Fans may be arseholes but nothing justifies the man having his family put through this and it absolutely should be pinned on Mourinho, in the same way the Capitol building assault was pinned on Trump for inciting the escalation.

Mourinho should come out with a big apology for this pretty quick and a hefty fine should follow.

Hasn’t Mourinho got previous? Didn’t another referee quit after his family got abused after false claims by Mourinho?

Roma are a disgrace from top to bottom. So glad they lost…and Jose’s brand of football is like spoiled milk. It only becomes more wretched with time.

The same people (including the media) who are up in arms are also the same people who would have said he "ruined the final" and "made it about himself" if he sent Mourinho off in the first half and the match finished 10 v 9.

Here's what the Laws of the Game say about when team officials can be shown a red card.

Sending-off Sending-off offences include (but are not limited to
• delaying the restart of play by the opposing team e.g. holding onto the ball, kicking the ball away, obstructing the movement of a player
• deliberately leaving the technical area to:
• show dissent towards, or remonstrate with, a match official
• act in a provocative or inflammatory manner
• entering the opposing technical area in an aggressive or confrontational manner
• deliberately throwing/kicking an object onto the field of play
• entering the field of play to:
• confront a match official (including at half-time and full-time)
• interfere with play, an opposing player or a match official

Until the culture of blaming the ref for actually enforcing the Laws of the Game ends, I don't really take the outrage of everyone at face value. Taylor would have been correct in Law to send off multiple Roma bench personnel but he would have been vilified for doing it.
