What is that perspective? Genuinely?

Regardless of people’s thoughts on the ECL, it’s a European trophy that you have to go through numerous rounds to win. Regardless of the opposition they’ve still won a trophy.

What perspective do we take? “They win the ECL but we think we’re above it despite never winning anything”.

As in, an achievement to get overly emotional/jealous about.

Arsenal winning the league would have been a totally difference kettle of fish but i'm really not going to be feeling inadequate over West Ham lifting the Conference League sorry.

Like I said, i'd rather they lost obviously but is what it is.

Good on ‘em. I’d rather they’d have lost but hopefully those Spurs fans and players who have thought some competitions weren’t worth bothering with in the past are watching this and feeling sick with jealousy.

Think them being in Europa again next season is good news for us and our chances of getting back into Europe in 24/25 though - another team in the EPL who will be knackered while we ought to be fresh.

You are absolutely right. But to be honest, we will always be taken the piss out of if we win anything because it will just be 'one trophy'.

Spammers deserved it - but it does show the level that tournament is at and that is no slight on them but just feels like the tournament is a hindrance Id rather win the Carabao.

Again I said this last year and got a load of disagrees. I think it's a mentality thing but I'd cringe a little if I saw these celebrations for us for a 3rd tier competition that only existed to allow the really shit teams to play in Europe

I actually feel sick. Even though it’s only Europa conference it’s still a proper trophy, equivalent to at least carabao cup. Something we haven’t had for over a decade. Will never hear the end of it all summer. Time to switch off from football.
