I think it's now pretty unlikely England gets the 2nd spot: Leverkusen are going to knockout West Ham and Liverpool look like they're done for. Assuming one of the goon and City don't make it through their ties, that leaves two English teams left (vs 2 or 3 Germans) and any future English points those two teams score are divided across 8 teams (vs 7 for the Germans). I just don't see it.

Honestly if City and Villa make their finals it still might be enough. It was a good week for Germany but I think England has gone from a clear favorite to a toss up. Maybe a slight Germany favorite.

Also if England gets the extra CL spot then 6th gets EL and 7th does if the FA cup winner gets top 7. The 8th gets ECL.
