The pots for Friday's UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-off draw have been announced, with Sweden, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Romania, Italy, Croatia and Scotland placed in Bowl A and Greece, Switzerland, Ukraine, Spain, England, Belarus and Iceland making up Bowl B.

How come England were not seeded, given we reached the final two years ago? Yet Scotland are seeded, but didn't even qualify for the tournament last time round.

It's a lottery and I blame Manchester City.

I thought it was because Scotland topped Group 10 but Greece topped Group 9 and got more points than Scotland. Surely Scotland can't be seeded simply because they have a GD of +9 to Greece's +6?

It's to keep the chippy ones quiet. They realise us Englishers are terribly phlegmatic and therefore unlikely to cause a fuss.

Romania... anyone know what their U21 side is like?

They did top their group with 25 points. Only dropped 5 points. Drew with Russia last game and they did get beat by Latvia 5-1...
