I remember a Liverpool fan who used the chant 'who's that lying on the runway, who's that lying in the snow.' Nearly every football team has fans who sing those songs. It is really in poor taste but so are a lot of things.

Ye but its still relentless.

Agree with your main point there.

New Moral : Manu fans are ****s

I think the point is that they sung it knowing what a stir it would cause. I have heard it sung at spurs before about Suarez etc but not in the context they were singing it, my mate goes united every week and he was sickened by it.

Your right you will never get these chants out of football, and yes the drink doesn't help the matter but you would think as with their own history they would be a little more sensitive, I mean City were impeccable on the anniversary of the Munich crash.

I am all for fierce rivalry, it's what makes the game what it is, but there is a line, they crossed it. Looked classless.

I hope they behave when the two meet up. It would be such a shame if they play up in what will be a very emotional day for so many people

It was just a scummy, uneducated and moronic thing to do. There is no excuse for it, and tbh they should just ban those fans that sang it. It is not like they would have troubling filling their seats.

I think we're all too sensitive about this sort of thing and concern about death spirals into griefporn.

The Police cover-up is the really distressing part, lets have some songs about that.

There's much worse for songs about Hillsborough anyway. I assume when Fergie made his plea he was probably talking about these (and even I'm prepared to admit these are pretty sick):

Ohh, I wish it could be Hillsborough everydaaaaay, where the fans start swinging and the fence begins to swaaaaaay!
Ohh, I wish it could be hillsborough everydaaaaay, where they rob dead bodies and the fans refuse to paaaaaaay!

who's that choking on their vomit
who's that turning fucking blue
it's a scouser and his mate
crushed behind the hillsboro gates
and they won't be singing munich anymore.

people screaming are you listening
fences rattling bodies clattering
oh what a wonderful sight
we're so happy tonight
walking in a hillsboro wonderland.

1 scouse 2 scouse 3 scouse 4 all got crushed on a sheffield floor
96 dead bastards was the final score
but we're still not happy? cos' we all wanted more

LOL they are terrible. They actually get away with singing that?

I've never heard those to be honest, they are shocking. I heard some stuff in poor taste my early days on the terraces but that is bad

Time one set if fans took the upper hand and acknowledge their wrong doings. make the first move to the moral high ground.
