I'm sure Harry said that he didn't want to let O'Hara go but that it was part of the Boateng deal. I can't really see him wanting to let O'Hara go somewhere else if he were to come back from Portsmouth.

So does O'Hara back into our squad... but if HR sends him to Fulham then I guess that's ok by me... touch and go though :p

Possible since Jamie himself said on SSN He would not mind staying on at Pompey but had atleast 3 clubs willing to take him on loan. Also said a return to Spurs would only be good if meant he be playing regularly asked if he was paid? said hope so big smile then drove off btw that was Tuesday.

O'Hara to Fulham was suggested a few times in the summer and Naughton back to sheffield has also already been mentioned this window. Both deals seem reasonable.

I think the way that worked was that Portsmouth wanted to sign Boateng, but they needed two midfielders and weren't able to meet our asking price, because they wouldn't have been able to afford a second player. So the solution was for them to pay what we wanted for Boateng and take O'Hara on loan.

Would prefer Naughton to stay but going back to United might be good for the kid. I don't see how we can possibly bring both Kyles through to our first team ever, we really should've just picked one of them.

O'Hara to Fulham sounds reasonable, but would he play ahead of their current midfielders? O'Hara to Hull would be a better move.

wouldn't want fulham to have o'hara. we may be flying high but as things stand we're still in direct competition with them so lets not help them out. that goes for pav aswell!

This is good. Fulham may even pay a £5m + fee at the end of the season if we're lucky

I agree about the two Kyles and that we only should have signed one of them - Naughton for me. This deal just looks very strange when we have a 22-yr old and a 24-yr old right backs already. I understand that perhaps Hutton may have already been on the selling list last summer, and Naughton was viewed as a good prospect. So after Hutton stayed and got back to fitness, the loan was a good option. The only question is the price. 8 mil is too much imo for two very young lower league defenders, one of whom is immediately loaned back to the lower league team and the other may have to be to get more match practice.

However, I think Naughton has the potential to become a very good modern day RB if he has more playing time at high level.

I wonder who their agent is, it would not be a surprise to find they share the same one?
