Sunderland have put in an enquiry for him [Hutton], negotiations taking place. Nothing concrete as of yet, player hasn't discussed personal terms. Early stages. Will keep you all updated.

Good news afaic! I'm no fan of Hutton, either as a player or as he is (reportedly) as a person. I'd swop him for a set of tracksuits.

With Naughton back at SU on loan, would we really sell Hutton right now? If Charlie gets injured, we would be left without cover. I think Hutton will go in the summer, not now.

Wee bit ahead of yourself there: Naughton is still with us, and a recent ITK snippet had the prospect of Naughton going back to Sheff Utd on loan as not happening. Either way, he's still here now, so for the time being that's not the block to Hutton potentially going.

Not that I really want to keep Hutton but think it would be better to get full value and see how Naughton does on loan before we ship Hutton out.

That's good news then. I had read somewhere that naughton was a done deal, so if he's staying, we can get rid of Hutton. I did like the look of Naughton in the pre-season, but would have hoped that HR would have given him more minutes so far.
