Can't reveal my source but today Joe Cole agreed to join le arse after the world cup. I have this from someone very involved with the scum. It was a straight choice between them and us and he felt that it was better for his career to move there.

This would corroborate the claims of some of the major Sunday papers today.

But then they're also claiming Harry's off to Liverpool!

he can be a bench warmer there. i can see arse getting him as they need some englishman in the squad, just to sit on the bench

never heard of this 'ITK' before, but sounds like he's jumping on the bandwagon to me.

Better for his career to move there WTF, there all foreigners over there, how could it be better for his career to go there instead of rejoining with the manager that gave him his chance in the 1st place. They are on the decline and we are on the rise.

Now I can't claim to be ITK but I'm from the same manor as Joe Cole and know a few people that know him and this has been doing the rounds for about a week now. Alot of people that know him or his family are giving this rumour credit. But as I say, I've heard nothing directly from the horses mouth.

I've said since the beginning of the summer that I thought he'd go to the goons so this wouldn't shock me. He supported them as a boy, they need some proven winners with experience to go with their young talent and we all know how good Wenger is at getting a top class player for free. Especially with the likely transfer of Fabregas, Cole to Arsenal sounds about right to me.

Didn't he once refer to Spurs fans as scum?

Can't say I'm bothered as I don't know where he would fit in with us and his wage demands would likely upset some of our other players!

If so then a pity as I thought he would have complemented our midfield well; allowing Modric to swap with him between LM and CM. Arsenal or us makes the most sense for him from a family point of view.
I think he is incredibly gifted, but we do have Modric and maybe we should be looking for an out and out winger to offer a balance to the flanks, plus we still have Krancjar who for me is still steal of the season last year.

Actually to be fair they could offer him more chance of first team football than us, not likely to make our first team in front of Lennon, Bale or Modric is he so as I've said all along he'd be a terrific squad player.

Ive always thought it like this over transfers -

If a player doesnt *want* to come to Spurs, im not bothered if he *doesnt* come to Spurs.

I heard this on thursday but dismissed it because I didn't trust the guy saying it. Maybe it's the same silly rumour going around?

Without putting my spurs hat on, its a better move for him as they play 433, and that is the formation that suits him best.

Walcott, Nasri, Arshavin, Rosicky and Van Persie (assuming they play him off a lone striker), so there's a lot of competition for him there aswell. I don't see how it's a better move for him, but maybe they'll pay him higher wages. If they lose Fabregas and sign Cole I wont mind too much.

I just thought with all our England internationals and Redknapp we could have been a major attraction for him. He might be better suited in a 433 but if he really wants to be a regular for England he will need to play left mid. Having a midfield of J.Cole Modric Lennon and a DM with Bale at left back would have been great. I'm still hoping this ITK is wrong. Until one of the trusted ITKs say it I won't believe it
