I think, bit like Owen at Man U he would be a great option - better than having Pav on the bench as he isn't playing anyway - but I do not think this will happen!

I think this would be a fantastic short term signing and provide some impetus for the rest of the season. I hope it happens.

Good news. Less talk and more action though please. I can only see a problem with wages on this one. But hopefully we can tie him up. Not in a bondage sort of way, but tie the transfer up.

Blistering pace/strength is what we need to balance the Defoe/Keane/Crouch combination if Pav is to go. If keane were to go ass well then Rudd in would be fine provided we also got the pacey strong player (yakubu/Saha type but not them)

i would like that signing, he wouldn't miss the kind of chances our 3 missed on Saturday, but dare I say i wouldnt mind carlton cole actually, but more importantly so one to fill in for lennon when he is missing.

modric and kranjcar on the wings does not work

Well thats not really proven. We totally dominated Hull. On another day we would have scored about 4 and everyone would be raving about those 2 on the wings. Its not ideal because we lack width, but one thing for sure is that they'll create chances. The sort of chances Nistelrooy thrives on.

spot on mil1lion, Van Nisterooy is a very good finisher and with the like of Krancjar and Modric getting him oppourtunities he will score goals

Ditto this, Mod & Kran worked for me, they are both wonderfully gifted players who can create chances from nothing, Ruud would score a hatful playing for us at the moment.

I for one would love this move. I think he would work great with either Keane or Defoe and might be the intelligent hold up player Keane needs to revive his career.

This is the type of deal that IMO would get us over the top and into 4th place in the league and really pushing forward as a club. Please Please get this done. If there is any chance then get rid of Pav, I don't care if it is just a loan move just get rid of him and get Van the Man in here as soon as you can.

So who are we to believe here, the Scout or POTL?

Or is it a case of we want to believe POTL over the scout?

Just out of interest, and for somewhere to put this, POTL has also just said that Jermaine Beckford is joining Everton in the summer. It's a done deal.
