Eidur suppoted tottenham as a boy IIRC. This article seems to confirm it, so that would given him more reason to join us over the 'Ammers.

Yeah, the article says it's because his dad gave him a video that featured Spurs players when he was just a kid. Funny that, because his dad's penalty was that which Tony Parks saved to win us the Uefa cup

So even after Harry confirmed last night we were interested, someone felt it necessary to ask POTL if there was any truth in a potential deal!

I think a few folk thought it was a smokescreen.

POTL now saying West Ham are offering crazy money for his wages. Will be interesting to see what comes of this.

Will he have as much sense as Bent did?

Go on Eidur, refuse the dirty porn money and come to us... you can use it as an opportunity to get close to Tony Parks and get revenge for your dad!

I'd have edited that bit out if I was his Dad!

We want to see them relegated so this makes perfect sense. I will never ever forget how they celebrated when they beat us on the last day of the season

Signing past it players in the hope west ham go down because he would rescue their season is shocking, as if. If he is going to cover Hudd's position then id prefer JOH to be honest. If he still had it and was worth having then a second rate monaco side wouldnt be letting him go on loan.

Has'nt EG been playing his football in Midfield since the Mourinho days at Chelski?

Saying that I am sure he'll still be an improvement on Crouch

Was a great player in his day amd at 31 I am sure he could still do a good job for us.

All for it.

He's not a striker anymore, he's a midfielder. He will be cover for Hudd's position.

Hmm, so we've been desperate for cover for Wilson, but instead we're looking at a creative midfielder as cover for Hudd?

Bit wierd if you ask me. I'd rather Huntelaar despite his lack of prem experience.

Jenas actually plays the same position as Wilson (maybe not as well, but that is another debate)...presses the ball, covers alot of ground. We don't have another CM with composure, who can put his foot on the ball and run a game tactically....that could be something that Eidur could do for us in a squad system.

As for Huntelaar, he is basically the Dutch Defoe, we have no need for him, lots of peole slagging off the Gud signing, saying he was a failure at Monaco, but Huntelaar hasn't exactly set the world on fire at Real and Milan has he?
