Can't reveal source - so take it as you will (but it was a VERY good one )

Was enjoying the boardroom hospitality at City before the game and the following came up in a conversation:

that we are making progress with Diarra and Muntari, that there is no danger of Keane remaining at the club for reasons that many speculated about on COYS and.........drum roll.........

that Daniel had told Harry he would sanction a £30m+ bid for a centre forward if we made the CL

Had the privilege of sitting with the legend that is Martin Chivers last night and will remember that game for as long as I live. Thought we were genuinely in a different league to Man City .........oh wait.......we are....the Champions League! Anyone else still in utter disbelief?

Chelsea have got Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Mikel, Deco and Malouda has played in the centre.

We'd have Modric, Palacios, Huddlestone, Sandro, Diarra and Muntari?

After all, we're looking to be competing again for 4th upwards, Champions League, FA Cup, Carling Cup!

Ship out JJ and O'Hara. Lovely.

Bit early for anyone to be getting their knickers in a twist isn't it

Let's keep it civil and on topic please chaps, else it's gonna be one long summer.

I can see us playing 5 in the middle and one upfront next season.

It's more like:

Holding Midfielder - Huddlestone, Diarra, Sandro
Box to Box Midfielder - Palacios, Muntari, Modric

It's still a bit crowded though. I would take one or the other. In fact, I would take Diarra but not Muntari. I don't see what Muntari would bring that we don't already have.

I don't remember seeing much of Diarra when he was in the Prem, but he doesn't seem to be very popular with Madrid fans anymore.

Are we being linked to these guys because they once worked with Harry

or has Harry given up on scouting?

diarra would be very smart and great move for us. we still need more legs and bit in midfield as more games next year. we fell short abit in that position and since sandro will be onlu joining in augest its alot to expet him at it straight away.. i wud be delighted at diarra. he is quality player and was brilliant for pompey and ven better for madride in his first season there but just not liked by theire new manager. get him in

the big special player wud have to be center forward for me.. dont think we can afford gerrard so someone like luiz suarez is the man for me
