Sort of, but consistently ignored so now we've added them to the main rules to firm it up a bit.

I wouldn't have thought so. You just need to make sure any images are free of copyright.

To be fair Archie, that's pretty damn hard to do.

Every single picture and every single bit of writing which is published on the internet is copyright to someone.

Only those which are clearly licensed under a Creative Commons license, (provided the terms are adhered to), BSD, GPL and perhaps a few other licenses fall outside the boundaries of copyright/licensing.

I dont see the problem with this, but it does say "or linked to on this site unless you took the photo yourself"

not sure why we cant stick a link up to an image.
