Valentines Day - Have you told the Mrs yet?

Couldn't see a thread on this so thought I would put this out there.
Girls love a bit of romance on Valentines day but the mighty Spurs are playing at 8pm. Its not like you can go out first and then make a dash for the Lane or its a 6pm game and you can have a late dinner is it.

Here is my Mrs Facebook status reaction to me letting her know that I won't be seeing her that night

"Who said romance is dead eh?? My lovely husband has just told me he is off to White Hart Lane to see his beloved Spurs play on Valentine's evening - well I suppose he will spend the 14th February with the one true love of his life!!!"

Got the email saying the tickets were on sale, did a little fist pump then saw the date.....

I love Spurs but I also love things being done for me, things like emptying my kugle sacs.

I spotted this yesterday, thought about getting a ticket, then I was thinking 'whys that date ringing a bell?'

Took me a few seconds, but then i realised. Bugger. I'm sure she'll understand.

It's all about compromise, right? I'll compromise by not going to the match, and cooking her dinner with a few bottles of wine etc, but she'll have to compromise by getting home early enough, cos when the pre match talk is on, she's gonna lose my attention pretty quickly.

Tbf, she put up with the whole champions league campaign and really enjoyed it, even got me a £20 bet for them to win it for a Xmas present... I lost the ticket and never told her. :-/
