Its great that he wants to stay, keeping the like of him, Modric, Bale and Sandro is vital for our progression

I reckon more important than on the pitch, Sylvie is loving life in London, she wears the pants in that relationship.

Brilliant. Imagine how good he'll be with a striker who can tell his arse from his elbow...

Just a thought I had, not really sure on the answer myself, but would Berba and Vdv work well together? Both intelligent players etc

Why do people say he didn't have a proper pre-season? He wasn't injured or anything, he was just at Real Madrid. One of the top clubs in Europe. Surely he had a pre-season training regime there?!

Edited to say: great news that he's staying though! Next move to find a formation which will accomodate his talents!

Since VDV is basically played asn an upgraded Keane I could see Berbatov player well off of him.

But Squirrelman's attitude when he left the first time is still putting me off of a return.

I've been wondering about this myself. I assume he must have joined the squad at a later time. Our WC players certainly did.

This is definitely good news, hopefully this will mean Modric and Bale will do they same if they see VDV is staying, all we need now is a top class striker how can play with VDV, any suggestions?

Berbatov will do a Sheringham and we can team VdV up with him.

Berba, Modric and VdV working together in little triangles is sex.

Awesome player. His enthusiasm for the game is fantastic too, I love how excited he gets when he scores. Probably a Spurs legend already due to the sheer skill he possesses.
And his song is brilliant!

Don't forget that the Netherlands were in the WC final, then the players got a break after that so he would have joined Madrid late. Plus i don't know what kind of regime they have at Madrid but he was on the fringe of the team so having him settle in a full proper pre-season in a team where he knows his role will make a big difference IMO.

what i find annoying in th epress is that they speculate that our best players will leave becasue we are not in the Cl

that did not happen at city bor liverpool and again this season will sureaz carroll gerrard etc leave no so why should our players leave.

a couple of good signings not from west spam please and we will be on the up
we looked good on sunday and again had a tantalising glimse of ledley if only he was fit for a season
