The hockey tournament is going to be fantastic. So many good teams this year.

If you want to hear a loud arena, watch the USA vs Canada game on the 21st.

I'm looking most out for all the ski events, alpine, cross country, biathlon and such, as that's where the Norwegians will pick up 90% of their medals, as per usual. Was gutted for Håvard Bøkko to just miss out on the podium on the 5000m skating yesterday, even though I'd rather watch paint dry than watch the actual event. That's patriotism for you. The Norwegian performance on the normal hill ski jump yesterday was also poor.

But the men's hockey should be a great tourney. However I'd rather watch speed skating than the women's hockey!

I'm from Bergen, on the west coast a few hours drive north of Stavanger. Really nice place but not great for winter sports, the warmest part of Norway and only gets about one proper snowfall a year, if we're lucky.

But I've lived in London for almost three years now.

We got the silver medal in the biathlon today. Conditions were awful apparently so pleased with that.

Ahh i know Bergen...i have a mate based there with work.

Yeah the conditions have been a bit odd. Apparently great for recreational snowboarding/skiing but not great for competitions. Whistler has had 2 feet of fresh snow tonight up top.

Started snowing and raining during the middle of the biathlon. Only the first 10 to 15 starters had a shot at gold. The rest were SOL.

Watched a bit of the snowboarding last night, was fairly exciting. The American beat the Canadian by about half a yard in the final. Came all the way from the back too. Anyone else see it?

Yeah i watched the entire event. Not usually a fan of snowboard cross but that was far better than i expected. Lots of changes with leaders in the races and lots of bails/crashes.

Hockey starts today or tomorrow....now we're talking :)

Yea, hockey kicks off at 8.00 tonight with USA v Switzerland.

Followed by Canada v Norway at 12.30, which I would watch if I didn't have to get up at 7 tomorrow :-(

I watched the snowboarding as well. The guy that won picked up some speed to overtake the other guy. I thought the ice skating was great too.

At least we were in it for one period...

And finally won a gold today, women's cross country sprint. We would really have expected to have 3 or 4 by now but at least we're off the mark.

I saw that...the stamina is incredible.

British snowboarder Ben Kilner got into the semi's of the half pipe. Great achievement. Shaun White i so far streets ahead and he doesnt look like hes at 100% yet.

About to watch Amy Williams go for gold in the womens skeleton! Not to tempt fate but she needs to seriously f*ck up to not take gold.

Also, Eve Muirhead the skipper for the GB curling team is HOT! Deffo watching her in action again :hump:

GOLD FOR GB and Amy Williams (She can ride my skeleton bone anytime!)

He could probably win with his eyes closed... It's annoying BBC's coverage has been heavily focused towards things like figure skating and curling (ie the things Britons have won aeons ago, and things Daily Mail readers will enjoy), the half pipe was on in the middle of the night and the only footage available is of White's final run... Their ice hockey coverage has been pitiful as well... I see Sidney Crosby had to bail Canada out against the Swiss...
