Reports say we have just signed him.

His 10 recent U17 World Cup goals (in 7 games) here:

http://metro.co.uk/2015/11/12/niger...tenham-after-sealing-transfer-report-5495689/

I'm excited. Looks so calm and can do the lot.

I'm sure he'll be brought in to the first team squad in due course, but with Poch in charge maybe sooner than we think.

Caveat to that: what on earth has happened to Clinton? Not even on the bench at the moment, he can't be that unfit he's blummin' 21!

Remember Coubailly was top scorer at U17 World Cup too, so doesn't mean an awful lot. This kid is rangier and looks like he may develop into a decent size though.

Yep very hard to tell at that age how they'll do but it's good that we are taking a few punts on the international kids as well as bringing through our own.

Last I heard Liverpool were after him, it would be great if we beat them once again!

If he isn't on the bench for the west ham game I'm sorry but Pochettino has to go.

Hah. I was just thinking about Coulibaily. It's a volume business at that age. Buy plenty cheap, hope one or two develop into a senior squad player but small risk.

Looks a like he has a lot more to his allround game compared to Coulibaly. Liked the little I saw of him at the World Cup. My big concern would be, similar to Oduwa, how much does of an advantage does his side provide him with compared to other 17 year olds. Has he relied more on that than technical ability. With Oduwa we found out it wasn't the case so will be interesting with him. Hoping it goes through faster than the Yahaya transfer, based on special player rule if it does happen, look forward to seeing him at u18s/21s

Anyone checked the age on his passport?

Assume this is a joke but if not he is 17 28th December one of the youngest there. They also have testing methods to prove they're appropriate ages. Apparently they have found that bones in your wrist don't fuse together when you're 17 and below and it's found across all countries, and they're all tested via that method and I believe.

the failure of coulibaly does not mean that this kid would also fail too and i think this kid would probably progress better than coulibaly under poch

Yahaya will apparently officially sign a pro contract January

Njie is injured

And we've got no CFs in the academy (made worse by Azzaoui's departure), so we need someone like this guy to help fill the gap

If Yahaya signed I think it would be in December, when he turns 18.

Also we have strikers but arguably not enough (Azzaoui was a winger btw). Harrison and Sterling are both talented but neither ready yet, Loft is decent. Having him would definitely strengthen and he looks like he has potential. I would imagine he would be behind Harrison still but could overtake if he adapts physically straight away and hits the ground running

The more the merrier. We need to be adding as many youth strikers as possible.

Nigeria have won the WC U-17 for the 3rd time (in a row I think) but none of their players made it "big". I hope for the best if Spurs have in fact signed him but my hopes are not that high.

Yahaya won't be able to sign until the window opens in Jan I wouldn't have thought. I doubt he would be able to sign a youth contract.
