And watch peoples reactions to Adebayor if the excellent Roger Johnson has him in his pocket, which could happen.

What is slightly worrying is that while there are a number of different ways we can play which would allow us to be solid and strong against a Wolves side riding high on the back of some great results, Redknapp probably won't set us up in any of those ways.

I worry he'll just set the team up to 'have a go' as he often puts it, fail to protect the defence, and leave us open to a mugging.

I'll be extremely happy if I'm wrong, mind.

I'd go with a 4-4-1-1 with 2 DM's and a winger tucking in. Something like this:

Friedel
Walker - Daws - King - BAE
Bale - Parker - Hudd - Modric
Dos Santos
Adebayor

All entitled to opinions, but I disagree with this. We need Corluka, a more solid rightback, up against Jarvis. Walker and Bale on the same wing? I cant see it. Would get in each others way. Bale changing to the right occasionally maybe, but he has such a good understanding with BAE that it seems silly to disrupt that.
I also think Defoe has looked reasonably sharp, and given the opportunity to play with Adebayor in a 2 as opposed to leading teh line on his own, should give him more opportunity to play his own game (which hasnt been very good I know) defenders with two to think about are likely to give Defoe more time and space than those with one.

And where to god did Giovani come from? Defoe, Pav, Kranjcar will all start ahead of him.
I'd go with

Friedel
Corluka Dawson King (if fit, or Kaboul) BAE
Lennon PArker Modric BAle
Defoe Adebayor

Thid Wolves test will be the defining moment of Levy and Harrys season.. A win will calm all nerves a draw will hold off the vampires for anther week. But if Spurs lose the excuse will be

injuries.
modric.
late deals.

I am desperate for a win only to stop the Twitchy media frenzy that will come after the event !!

Good luck my beloved spurs and lets hope we get out act together.

I brought this up in another thread.

We would be a point better off than the corresponding games from last year.
We have the striker we have desperatley needed
We have the solid midfielder we have craved for years
We have played probably the top 2 teams in the league already

Reasons to be cheerful Part 3

Spot on. It just comes down to whether the squad are properly prepared, injuries, good selection and tactics, whether the players are in form/have their heads right and whether or not there is any underlying tension at the club that is likely to affect performances.

We know none of this yet so for now there is every reason to be optimistic.
