Yeap and still have, I am probably one of them because I think we'll finish 3rd or better next season.

I like to make fun of Harry, to be fair he is an easy target but no one can deny he was our best manager in a long long time and I don't know anyone outside the Tottenham fanbase that think AVB can better Harry's achievements, in fact most neutrals think we'll now drop under AVB.

Yeah, he definitely is an easy target and I understand the criticisms. At the same time, it also the best that we'd had it in decades, and I don't know why that wasn't more important to people. Oh well!

And yeah, there's almost no chance of AVB doing better than Harry. People talk about tactics, rotation and not talking to the media, but do you know who was big on tactics, rotation and not talking to the media? Ramos.

But I sure hope we do better this year! I'd love it (Keegan voice) if we could move to third next season.

If we are 13 points clear in third and he doesn't throw it away, then he will be doing better than 'Arry.

Actually, I think there is a very good chance of us kicking on and establishing ourselves in the top 4, and winning trophies, so I believe your statement is way off the mark.

When can we start believing our own man is right and to stand by him as one of us. If he doesn't deal with the media, he'll be accused of being a PR disaster, and when he does, he is said to be self-serving. And how do we know if all the so-called quotes are verbatim of what he actually said.

There is more chance of us winning a trophy under AVB, because he will take the cups far more seriously then Redknapp did.

I read that ignoring the journalist's comments in between and only read the quotes, and have to say the so-called 'swipe' at Chelsea is barely worth mentioning. All he's done is compare the 2 cultures and histories, without saying one is better than the other. The comment that being at Spurs gives a greater sense of belonging is, in my interpretation, rooted in the fact that at Spurs there has always been a desire to play great football, whereas at Chelsea it is now a culture of 'win at all costs'. If that comes across as a swipe at Chelsea its because its a culture which the reader (be it a Spurs fan or any other fan) themself finds undesirable.

Yeah I'd like to see him do an interview where there is no mention of Chelsea, but as others have said, he is constantly being asked about his time there. Furthermore, if he declines to discuss it, the press will consider him to be 'moody' and 'non-compliant' and it will harm his relationship with them, at a time when we all accept he needs to try and develop a more positive relationship with the press than what he had as Chelsea boss.

Until the press stop asking him about Chelsea, he will continue to mention them, and they press will no doubt continue to report what he's said as a 'dig' or a 'swipe' at that lot as they need to create a soap opera out of it.

I am not sure, maybe they are from his interview during the week to all written media and the Sunday writers held them back but they why did no one report the VDV information earlier

Talksport did - Moose said on Wednesday that VdV was staying. Just didn't give any direct quotes.

He needs to be a bit more savvy with this, deflect the question, or just say we moved on.
Also if he could be a little more concise with his answers, it would leave less room for misinterpretation by the spinmasters.
At times I thought it was an SP epic.;)
