For his disco hair

For his flamboyance

For rarely missing a game

For vastly improving yet again

For those arrowed pings into feet

For his two goals from full back

For being the only player that turned up every week since christmas

For cutting out the mistakes

For his outspoken charm

For the sake of our best player not being west hams best player / someone who "gives it his all" / couldnt pass a ball straight for 3 months, YES the dude with the side parting.....

VOTE BENNY For he is far and away our player of the season. (38 games long not 11)

Got to say he has been my player of the season, a few mistakes here and there but has been a constant for us this year.

Except he's not been our best player this year.

He's not even been our best defender this year as that accolade goes to Kaboul.

He does have good hair though, i'll give you that! (y)

Add "For refusing to wear matching boots" and he get's my vote :D

I like it!!!

more reasons pleae.

For getting his own weekly article in the Standard

For the back to back Cruyff turns

For improving his decision making

For not letting fans who dont know what they are talking about get him down when he has to go long down line because our forwards are lazy

For rarely giving the ball away despite a lacklustre centre midfield.

For having everything channelled through him because if we go the other side we lose it.

IMO

Full back is becoming a dying art.

Too many managers want them to be wing-backs in 4 or 'defensive wingers'.

They are used to add width as teams crowd the middle with 3 or 4 midfielders (when the midfielder or wing used to do it).

It is a shame because it is a really good position to be good at.

This thread's quieter than I would have expected. I must admit that I have to exercise tremendous self-restraint when Benny's being discussed. Not my cup of tea.
