How do my fellow Spurs supporters feel about THEIR only English player doing so well for England?

Also and even more astonishingly, the England U19s had 5 very good English youngsters from THEM the other night.Eek

Fucking chuffed to be honest. Last night it didn't matter who the player played for in the Premiership, it mattered who they played for on the night and whether it's an Arsenal player or a Tottenham player, in the end they're playing for England and it's great to see him do so well.

His natural position is defo up front and not out wide and i think that is where he will eventually play, his pace and finishing ability are very impressive his crossing however is crap. Who was the last English Woolwich player to score for England??

I have to admit I did not see that coming. But fair play to the lad he did well. Lets hope he falls back to being a bit part player for his club though.

He owes a lot to the movement and ball control of Heskey. Watch the re-runs but watch Heskey's involvement. I wish that we had gone for him last window. A great option when the short arses up front aint doing it.

To be honest, the second and third goals, I would have expected Michael Dawson to put away. The first should have been saved. I'm obviously bitter.

I saw another thread were people were saying Heskey was shit, because he doesn't score goals.
He was nothing short of fantastic last night. He plays a big man role, as he knows how to create space for others.

Good to see Walcott score a hattrick, and it was even more refreshing to see a young footballer, who can actually speak in good english and in a very mature and grounded way. His parents have done well, he seems like a nice young chap.

I did like Wengers, it was a fluke type comment on the beeb website.

Walcott wouldn't have scored a hattrick had Heskey not been playing.

Did you read the posts on Transfer Rumours when we were linked to him?

The drawbacks are that he seems to be a tad injury-prone and that we'd have ended up paying well over the odds.

Interesting diversity of views on Walcott. (and thats just the arguments going on in my own head). I also thought he spoke intelligently and with great humility (esp for a Goon), so I'm going to come down on the side of.....

.....great to see him play well in an England shirt. Even if Arse Whinger doesn't trust him with a regular Arse shirt. Just hope he never does it against us. and I will cheer him every time he puts on an england shirt.

My brother in law once asked if I'd be happy if he bought my new born son an Arsenil shirt like his kids had.
I replied I'd be more than happy....
... in fact it would be great,
.. and really useful too,
because we are forever running out of nappies.

Sorry I can't bring myself to hate Walcott, he comes across as a level headed down to earth, intelligent chap when ever I've seen or heard him in interviews.
