I'm not laughing at him being injured, just that he was a cock and looks an even bigger cock now but also everyone going on about England and it ruining the world cup hopes..hes just an average player..would people be saying the same if it was Gareth Barry or Carrick or someone?? To me him being out for the world cup doesnt make much difference to England and how well we do?

Did I mention he's a cock?

I know i'm not alone when i say that i stopped caring about England a few years ago. There was a glimmer of interest during the mid 2000's, when we had that lovely big fella in charge and we had something like seven players in line for a call up, but other than that it's dull-as-dish-water football, England will take the same predictable eleven that hasn't worked for a number of friendlies, plus one or two surprises who won't get to play more than ten minutes between them, and we'll stink up Brazil like we did South Africa, like we did in Germany and just like we did in Korea & Japan. Boring football.

The World Cup is like the MMA of football - each nation has it's own "style", as it were - Germany is organised and efficient, Spain flamboyant and quick, Brazil the showstoppers, Italy the defenders, and Argentinians, who played fast and cheated a lot - England used to be the tough nation, the one that went out there and stuck it to the opponents, both with and without the ball. We played a more physical game that involved more closing down and making the other team work hard to win anything. Until Italy in 1990, anyway - that was the last year i can genuinely remember England playing like the rest of the world expected us to play.

Since then it's been the same old same old. The generation of Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Ashley Cole, Rio, Rooney even - they've had us fooled into thinking they might actually be capable of winning something but, in truth, we've not once looked like a team that was proud to wear the lions as a team. The odd individual effort has given the highlight reels something to use but, generally, the England team have been dreadful for 15 - 20 years now.

So Arsenal will definitely be entering the transfer market now, they have to... £10 million for Defoe?

The worst thing about this is this nation in mourning act that's going on, cos he'll miss the World Cup.

So what. If we were relying on him we might as well have not turned up.

I'll gladly be a twat.

I think it's fucking pathetic to celebrate a serious injury to a player. What did he actually do that was so bad? He showed the score with his fingers. Naaaw, was that to much for you to handle? Did he make you feel small? Grow a fucking set of balls and deal with it like a grown up person!

Oh calm down. There are people in worse situations than Theo fucking Walcott. He is still part of a tiny, miniscule percentage of incredibly lucky bastards who get to play football for millions of pounds every year.

So he's hurt his bloody knee, and there's a thread laughing at it on a Spurs forum - why exactly do you need to be the self-appointed moral judge of everyone on here and tell everyone how nasty they are? If you're not interested in finding some amusement in this, then don't read the thread.

Yes there is, there's more to life than football as well. Isn't Theo's wife about to give birth? This injury should really make him realise that family is far more important than a game or hurting his knee

Obviously a shame for Walcott personally, particularly as he's already missed one World Cup.

Hardly a disaster for England though. I think Walcott has played well once for England and that was about 5 years ago.

I still can't believe his injury was that serious. He went off smiling and interacting with the Spurs fans...it really didn't look like an 'out for 6 months' injury at the time.

I actually blame Arsenal FC for his injury. If they hadn't reduced our allocation, we would have had more fans cheering the boys on, we would have been 1 or 2 nil up and Theo wouldn't have picked up his injury as the Arse would be defending for their lives (something Theo doesn't do) and therefore not getting tackled

So there is justice in the world.. I was starting to wonder

Justice would be him having to do a "normal" job like the rest of us.

Fit wife/GF
Not having to work again
doing something he loves for a living.

Justice would be for most footballers, and walnut especially, to "lose it all" for a while.

I don't care, ill give the goons some stick but personally I don't wish an injury on him he's hardly the game changer for them anyway.

Whaaat? That's literaly exactly what I'm saying - there are millions of people out there with greater problems than this guy who has hurt his knee for a few months. Why does he deserve sympathy compared to someone who has just been diagnosed with a terminal illness, for example?

All people are doing in this thread is having a laugh at a very lucky person's expense - they don't need to be told off like naughty schoolchildren.

And 'as you will learn'? So I have no experience of life outside the importance of money? Way to massively judge me without knowing me, dude. Trust me when I say that I know that there are far more important things in life, like having or not having a serious disability, for example...

It will be a sad day if a Spurs fan can't laugh at the trivial misfortune of a gooner.

I 'try' not to gloat or derive pleasure from ANY player injuries. I'll laugh my socks off if they miss a goal or score an own goal.

But I'm a total believer in "sods laws", its fate and it will come back around and bite you and 'yours' firmly on the backside.
