While England have been incapable of producing any quality left-winger (ok, John Barnes wasn't bad at all) Wales seem produce a world class LW almost every "player generation". These comes to mind:

Cliff Jones
Leighton James
Ryan Giggs
Gareth Bale

And sorry, I do not have the answer not am I going to try to find one...as I have no other explantion than "random DNA"...

That was quite a random reply.
So amigo, what's not a random thread?

I know all threads tend to have a random element to them but it just seems like you create a thread for whatever is going through your head or whatever video you have just seen/article you have just read.

Anyway I'm not criticising, merely an observation. Gives us all something to talk about.

Some of it is probably to do with young players wanting to play in the same position as their heroes. I bet a lot of the young Welsh kids want to play left wing because of Gareth Bale.

That is true - my youngest is adamant he's a left winger as Bale is his hero.
